Flying High: Mercury, Neptune, The Sun And The Whole Shebang.

In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill

Ok, we’ve got this *again*… Mercury on Gemini 10: AN AIRPLANE DIVES TOWARD THE EARTH AS THOUGH FALLING

A Plane Performing A NosediveThis situation implies an ability to be able to play with and defy gravity while maintaining a sense of being in control and able to pull out of difficult situations. Your situation may seem to be heading for disaster, but perhaps you can still be in control, and, at the right moment, you’ll be able to pull out of the nosedive and save the day. The question is: do you really always have an adequate grip on the controls? Are you, or is someone else, actively working against people’s best interests? Imagine yourself regaining control, physical, mentally, emotional or spiritually and pull yourself out of the nose dive and you’ll become stronger and will enjoy the experience at the same time.

Plunging into experiences without thought of ramifications. If you become conscious you may be protected (and saved) at the last moment. Daredevil stunts. Depression.

The Caution: Refusing help even though disaster is imminent. Free falls, defying gravity and the consequences. Shakeups. Neglect of physical realities. Crashing and burning.

Meanwhile, Mercury is squaring Neptune (again! or still!) and Neptune is on an interesting degree – Pisces 10: AN AVIATOR IN THE CLOUDS

This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to be able to stay on one’s course while not allowing distractions or difficult or confusing issues to deter you from getting to your destination. There will be times in your life that you need to rise above and transcend the more nitty-gritty realities of earthly existence and its difficulties, just be aware that you may not be seeing the complete picture very clearly sometimes. If you take special notice, you may be able to see through illusions, seeing past the surface appearances to things that others miss. You may be able to rely on your creative or intellectual skills to take you above and beyond those things that others have to deal with. You may just be evading the real truth.

Sailing through difficulties. The need for accurate navigation. Being in charge of the controls. Seeking higher truths. Mastery. Flight. Navigation. Maps. Compasses. Pilots.

The Caution: Escaping responsibilities. Isolating oneself. Drugs and alcohol abuse. Avoiding reality. Unearthed. Unrealistic expectations. Missing the point. Evasive.

Also, the Sun is on Cancer 2: A PERSON ON A MAGIC CARPET OBSERVES VAST VISTAS BELOW – heck! A lot of rising above, or having to rise above, situations here…. and then!

Jupiter is on Leo 21: INTOXICATED CHICKENS DIZZILY FLAP THEIR WINGS TRYING TO FLY

Yeah, right.

This Symbol can indicate the loss of a sense of reality or rational reactions. Often it shows not being in touch with what’s realistically possible and what’s worth trying. There can be an attempt to do too much or too soon or before maturing enough to be capable of doing it. Still, even though ‘Chickens’ are not supposed to fly, trying to do things that are outside one’s natural sphere can be a good thing, as long as you don’t overreach and cause damage to yourself. Sometimes, first attempts at a new experience may prove less than elegant or skillful. Soon you’ll look back with amusement at these early attempts. Find enjoyment in the “Intoxication”, but come back to earth when the feelings vanish. This degree can show people well equipped for being drug and alcohol counselors.

False courage. Inexperience. Trying to do things beyond the bounds of possibility, capability or responsibility. Taking drugs. Indulging in alcohol. Losing reality.

The Caution: Giddiness and lightheadedness as the unwanted side-effects of trying too much too soon. Getting nowhere. Getting “out of it” in order to escape from something.

It gets better – so many things seem to be saying to stand aside, stand above, get a heightened perspective, remove yourself from difficult situations or people and meanwhile,

Uranus is on Aries 21: A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING

This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. Make sure you possess the skills and training to defend what you believe. Remember that sometimes you need to back off if you’re not winning a contest. Question: are you more on the attack or the defense?

Physical or psychological self-assertion and determination. Fight for ones emotional, psychological or physical space. Being a contender. Entering the ring or the arena.

The Caution: Using power to dominate people or those who challenge you. Wanting to knock people out. Storming in and taking over. Looking for combat. Being combative.

Oh good. How should it be to traverse that lot?

Further, I thought about the Boxer Entering The Ring last night and I’ve been watching episodes of Californication back-to-back. Great fun. So, I’m thinking about The Boxer and the next minute, I’m watching Hank, played by David Duchovny, and he’s getting beaten up by a woman in a boxing ring. My life is stranger than fiction.
