Jupiter And Saturn Squaring Off: Looking For Love, Liberation And Release

In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill

Jupiter is on an interesting degree – Leo 29, and it, and Saturn, at Scorpio 29, are in an exact square to each other. Talk about push-me, pull-you! Ugh. Especially with Venus retrograde in the mix, conjunct Jupiter and squaring Saturn. However, it can be, as always, a very good combination as it can push us to get out stuff together. We may be feeling the pinch of not having enough money, not enough love, not enough forward propulsion to satisfy the need to keep running and running in this world that always calls for progress. Saturn and Jupiter are quite opposing forces; Saturn has a ‘shrinking’ quality while Jupiter is about ‘expansion’.

The Fisherman And The Siren - Lord Frederick LeightonJupiter is on Leo 29: A MERMAID HAS CLIMBED TO THE ROCKY SHORE OF A BLEAK COAST, SHE AWAITS THE PRINCE WHO WILL BRING HER IMMORTALITY

This shows the desire for a soul mate, a good friend, a helping hand, someone to be by your side through thick and thin. The ‘waiting’ can be pleasurable, or, it can feel like one has been waiting their entire lives for the person, the mate, or the thing, the experience, the event perhaps, that can push them into a new destiny or sense of being.

This Symbol shows the desire to find a partner or a place in the world where you feel you belong and you contribute. Finding a place to ‘come ashore’ in life, establish a career and a life that feels worthwhile can take some time. You will be able to make sense of your intuitive or creative thoughts as you grow and find both your feet and your voice. In finally being able to verbalize things into rational expression, you will be creating things from your intuitive wisdom. However, there needs to be a caution against expecting others to verify your existence through your relationship with them. Being self reliant whilst inviting others into your life is the balance here.

Coming into conscious form. New ways of being. Transformation. Emerging evolution. Finding love in difficult times. Waiting for one’s “prince” or “princess” to come.

The Caution: Focusing on social aspects of life before being ready, or mature enough, to accept them. Naivety. Feeling you don’t exist if not in relationship. Bleak conditions and loneliness.

Saturn is on Scorpio 29: AN INDIAN WOMAN PLEADING TO THE CHIEF FOR THE LIVES OF HER CHILDREN

This shows issues to do with children and mercy and love and protection, and, it shows the court systems, judges, juries, defendants, criminals, family violence victims and perpetrators, etc. It is very much about issues to do with justice and seeking a safe harbour for yourself and/or your loved ones.

This Symbol implies the need, or the ability, to be an advocate for the rights of others, particularly youngsters or children (and this would not preclude animals), and being prepared to argue with others in order to bring about a desired result. You may find yourself standing-up for those in your care, or for those who need your care, whether it is your children, your ideals or creative pursuits. Even if they sometimes deserve rejection, punishment or judgment, the solution will possibly be found not in being defensive as in simply asking for consideration, mercy and leniency. This degree can also show people who bring about a healing for others, whether it’s through their own actions or through finding the healers that are needed to affect a cure.

Patterns of family dominance. Pleading one’s cause. Family law courts. Lawyers. Advocates. Having firm ideas. Guilt and innocence. Intervention. Intercession. Courts.

The Caution: Being prepared to be dominated. Making a sacrifice of one’s self to achieve peace and quiet. Ramming one’s opinions. Being expelled. Being made an example of.
