Mars On The Widow At An Open Grave: Taurus 5

In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill

I find it somewhat amazing that, smack on Easter Sunday (in the States – we are already experiencing Easter Monday here in Australia), Mars is moving onto Taurus 5 – a very evocative Sabian Symbol – A YOUTHFUL WIDOW, FRESH AND SOUL-CLEANSED FROM GRIEF, KNEELS AT AN OPEN GRAVE TO RECEIVE THE SECRET OF ETERNAL LIFE

death-anniversary-quotes-meaning-sayings-pastI think I’ll make a Daily Rave about it – there’s a lot to say … time to let go things from the past?

This Symbol speaks of things from the past that sometimes block progress in the present or the future. Don’t let loss beckon you to give up and throw everything away. There must always be a time to grieve, but what is lost is lost and cannot be regained by losing yourself. Know when it’s time to fill in the grave and let go, whether it’s literally letting go of people who have passed away or have disappeared from your life in order to move on. Gather up your energies and move towards new objectives letting go of the old.

Letting go of relationships and things that no longer work. Purging the past. Gradual realization of the illusion of matter. The passage of grief. Redundancies.

The Caution: Wasting time staring at lost opportunities. Grudges and hard feelings that last much longer than they have to. Divorce and loss and the grief that can ensue.

    Hi Lynda,

Thanks so much! This one seems to go hand and hand and resonates intensely with your interpretation of yesterday’s Chiron degree that is just shifting today to Pisces 20. A table set for an Evening meal.

Trans Chiron was/is conjunct my natal Chiron at 18+ Pisces so with your help I now fully understand the meaning of quest degree.

So much so i was struck by the quote you included:

“You have to learn to get up from the table when love is no longer being served”!!

It’s a tough one for me. Aka the sensitive, old pattern, resucuer. Although this is the love cycle i put into the motion of change over the years and seems to have come around for a final clearing during this solar, and now ending on, the lunar eclipse. But as relevant to the astrology and this time has been the pattern cycle and dealing with this feeling of loss that i am finally rewriting in my life.

Love your inspiring thoughts on the Mars Sabian degree, Taurus 5. It made me think of the Marys, and disciples experience of finding the empty tomb. Their initial great feeling of loss, disbelief, a heartfelt sense of void. But why does this mean we have to control and to cling? When death is always the promise of new life?!

This is also the same moment their hearts must have began to be opened to the message of the new beginning, expanded awareness, sense of direction, purpose and the opportunities for accomplishment that lie ahead for them. Which, as we know, become one of the greatest stories ever told..

So appreciate your work, thoughts and sharing. Which is encouaging at this time of changing the cycle of my heart. ?
