Mercury And Mars Stirring Things Up In Gemini

In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill

Mars is on Gemini 12: A BLACK SLAVE-GIRL DEMANDS HER RIGHTS OF HER MISTRESS

Mad as hell 2[I don’t often put the word ‘black’ in that Symbol as it might cause a sense of disrespect… however, for my mind, it means so much more than the racial connotations – it stands for the underprivileged or suppressed to my way of thinking… thought to explain that.]

So, are you feeling a bit down-trodden? Like you deserve better? More? Like you missed your seat on the ‘gravy-train’… feeling a pinch of worry that you don’t own property, don’t have enough in the bank, don’t get the care or respect or seat at the table you deserve? Feel that you work really hard with little reward? That is largely what this degree is about.

Mercury (retrograde) was on this degree the last few days and now Mars – so, for some, the thought of being treated badly, disrespected, being left out of the discourse, perhaps, about important things, feeling cast aside, unimportant, unheard, manipulated, bullied even, can come to the surface and these thoughts and emotions can erupt. It can also, of course, denote how many people are upset, uneasy, fed-up, etc, about the way that others are treated… especially by over-fed, white, pasty, spoilt and often sociopathic elements of society.

This Symbol shows the need to be given respect and taken seriously. At times you’ll find that you can’t put up with the way you’re treated, the pressure builds up and suddenly, and probably from out of nowhere, a torrent of emotion comes out. If you’re being spoken badly to or treated with little respect, make a stand – don’t put up with it. It’s tiring to be treated like a ‘Slave’ or dutiful underling. Everyone should have equal rights. Spread your wings of freedom and seek to improve things by being frank and honest. You may win, but you can never truly lose if you act with integrity and honesty.

Rising above conditioning and limitations. Standing up for one’s self. Demanding better treatment. Not being afraid to demand better conditions. Equal rights and discrimination.

The Caution: Feeling hard done by and deserving better. Blaming others for situations. Bucking authority. Demanding to be recognized or noticed. Throwing tantrums.

Meanwhile, Mercury, retrograde, is still on Gemini 11: NEWLY OPENED LANDS OFFER THE PIONEER NEW OPPORTUNITIES FOR EXPERIENCE

This Symbol shows that there’s a need to break away from old familiar ground and move outNewly Opened Lands Pioneer into unknown territory. Fear is the greatest barrier to moving forward, but the familiar must be left behind for new possibilities. Taking opportunities to move on to new realms of being can lead to a whole new experience or indeed a whole new life. You have to be prepared to leave the old behind and to step out into new experiences with an open heart and an open mind. You could be starting from scratch with little to support you, but you could find depths of experience you never thought possible.
Pioneering attitudes bring their own rewards. Going off the beaten track. Coming up with new ideas. New spiritual realizations opening vistas of experience. Adjusting to new places.

The Caution: Clinging to the old and familiar. Restricting growth and change. Not taking new opportunities or moving on. Claiming what’s rightfully someone else’s. Running off.
