Mercury and Venus On The Being In Control Of Your Life Degrees: Aquarius 16 and 17
We have Venus and Mercury on two rather interesting degrees in Aquarius. They speak about looking after your ‘stuff’, protecting it, guarding it perhaps, or, perhaps it can be noticing if you’re rather nervous about how your ‘stuff’ is holding up in the world. Are you concerned about how ‘in charge’ you are of your life? How to manifest money? How to be more effective – perhaps noticed in your world? Is there a level of nervousness around how you’re managing in life?
This can also be about how a lot of our ‘freedoms’ are being stripped from us and it can show how we’re being monitored and watched and how difficult it can be in this modern world to truly be your own ‘master’. These Symbols are both about personal authority and it could be saying that we have to either take back our sense of authority, or, see where we may be giving it away.
This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to be able to “Protect” one’s people or boundaries, to be like a “Watchdog Standing Guard”. This can be a tiring responsibility, but one that has you feeling you belong and contribute to the safety and wellbeing of your loved ones, or perhaps those you work for. If not handled well, you may feel unsafe at times, needing to be alert to signs of trouble. This can be a good thing, but it can lead to paranoid behavior where you can’t relax. Enlisting the support of trusted and loyal supporters may help, but you probably also need some self assurance. Watch out for false feelings of intrusion or betrayal.
Guardianship. Things that protect. Being alert to invasion or trouble. Learning to relax. Locks. Alarm and security systems. Dogs. Constantly checking up. Sudden responses.
The Caution: Suspicion and paranoia that rid one of joy. Being unable to let down one’s guard. Feelings of being ripped off or exposed. Fear. Jealousy. Resenting intrusion.
Mercury is on the degree that Venus was on yesterday – Aquarius 16: A BIG-BUSINESSMAN AT HIS DESK
This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to organize things, run a business, attend to paperwork or generally be very much in charge. A “Big-Businessman” is someone who isn’t afraid to make decisions, take some calculated risks, or be prepared to work often and long for the rewards it brings. It is a fairly big job to organize a business or group and keeping tabs on all that’s going on can be quite a task. Being professional and organized brings rewards. However, it can mean putting limits on your personal life. This can result in alienation – particularly if you have to stay behind or say no to pleasurable outings. Are you living the way that is best for your future, your relationships and physical well being?
Decision making. Management. Being in charge and in control. Calling the shots. Being responsible. Delegating. Economic rationalism. Sorting paperwork. Desks, computers.
The Caution: Taking advantage of being in charge. Bossing others. Always being “on the job”. Exploitation for personal gain. No exercise. Greediness. Penny pinching. No off switch.
