Mercury On Libra 11: A Professor Peering Over His Glasses
Mercury is on Libra 11: A PROFESSOR PEERING OVER HIS GLASSES AT HIS STUDENTS –
I am sensing this today as I read a lot of spurious and outrageously fatuous comments about what’s happening with the refugees… people rabbiting on about how the poor father of that tragic child was going to Europe to get his teeth fixed. I mean, honestly. And people supporting Donald Trump to become president of the US… So, yes, it is an interesting degree. I guess, with Mercury here, and about to turn retrograde (which means that this Sabian Symbol is going to be highlighted a number of times in the coming months), we are being asked to *try* to see people’s humanity (although, goodness knows, a lot of people in the comfort of their homes are not showing much to others). I felt a need for this rant.
This Symbol speaks of the ability, or the necessity, of looking at people as humans and not through the lens of something one learned from books. It’s as though the aspects of the rational mind and the intuition require a different kind of focus. Seeing people for who they really are leads to better and kinder relationships, as does dropping judgmental opinions or relying on science or complicated codes of thought for answers. You may find the need to interrupt your rational concentration to realize your intuitive ideas. At times you may feel like the “Professor” and at other times “The Student”. Regardless, having the eyes to see each other in the true light of day is the goal.
Different perceptions for different situations. Seeing that others get the message. Glasses and lenses. Observing others. Giving advice. Teachers. The ability to ‘read others’.
The Caution: Egoistic or superior positions that others have a lesser position or intelligence. Distortions of perception or observation. Condescending behavior. Bossy.
