The Sun On Aquarius 10: The Peeling The Onion To Get To The Truth Degree

The Sun is on Aquarius 10: A MAN WHO HAD FOR A TIME BECOME THE EMBODIMENT OF AN IDEAL IS MADE TO REALIZE THAT AS A PERSON THEY ARE NOT THIS IDEAL

Magritte - MirrorI always see this as a very powerful Symbol. It can show us where others (or we) are falling from grace. It can also show us what we are not – bringing up those false illusions about ourselves with the game we’ve been trying to play – particularly if we’ve been compromising our sense of self in order to ‘fit in’. There are many times in our lives where we ‘wake up to ourselves’ and this can be one of them. Soon, in the next few days, Mercury will retrograde back over this degree. And, later in February, Mercury will go direct over it again. We are being given a big chance to really scrutinize where it’s working for us and where it’s not.

The Moon’s north node was on this degree when President Obama was elected. It was like he was the new ‘messiah’ – far too much was projected onto him – for good or for bad – and he could not ever really live up to that ideal (for whatever reason/reasons) – the nature of the ‘presidency’ will ensure that. Right through his inauguration, the north node was on this degree. How telling it has been, but the beat goes on, the same ol’ same ol’.

But for US, this is a chance to reveal some very interesting things – especially considering the fact that Mercury went retrograde last week on Aquarius 17: A Man Being Unmasked At A Masquerade.

This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to be able to recognize, or realize, when conditions are changing or when there’s a need to work on themselves. It can imply having the ‘scales fall from your eyes’ about someone; you may have thought the world of them and then they are not the person you thought. You could wake up realizing that you’re not who or what you said or though you were. Relationships may be left behind. The revelation can be amazing, but it requires accurately assessing what is and what isn’t the “Ideal”. Popular support does not always equate with depth of character and self-worth. Fleeting opportunities may present themselves. Be wary of committing before you understand what you’re dealing with.

The Big Awakening. Staying true. Reversals of fortune. Waking up just in time. Not truly seeing people OR scales falling from one’s eyes. Projections of personality.

The Caution: Clinging to false feelings of fame. Falling off the pedestal. Not realizing or admitting changes. Disillusionment. Disappointment. Committing to things too quickly.
