Venus On Cancer 27: A Furious Storm

In Lunar Stories by Lynda Hill

StormI always sit up and take notice when this degree is around. It always strikes a chord and brings up things that need to be addressed – at least in one way or another. I have had personal manifestations of this – when Saturn was on this degree years ago, I had a full month of lectures and workshops in Miami. I arrived in Florida right after a hurricane hit Orlando – my first pit stop – and sat through three more hurricanes – ended up driving right across Florida by myself (without a GPS) – took 6.5 hours and there were palm trees flying through the air as I drove (the first time that I drove in the States = the opposite side of the road from us here in Australia). Next time I drove, by myself again, was from Indiana, through southern Illinois and into Missouri in a *humungous* storm ahead of Hurricane Katrina. *That* was interesting. This degree is the Quest Degree of my south node… need I say more?

What ‘storms’ are going on in your life? Some of them are ‘storms in a tea cup’, others are huge, life changing episodes…

The fact that the word ‘Valuable’ is in this Symbol says to me that everyone’s homes are ‘valuable’ – I don’t see it as particularly having privilege… although, I sometimes see storms being beat up when here is really no need. On the other hand, sometimes a storm can blow the cobwebs away, fresh for a new possibility.

This Symbol implies that you may find yourself much deeper in situations than you had planned, but you find yourself restrained by the walls about you and the turbulence happening in and around you. Strong emotions or events may be unleashed and there may be no escape from the turbulence that is around, but things will settle down and peace will reign once more. The best thing to do is wait it out and protect your self the best you can. Arguments and emotional confrontations emerge as a result of the ‘pressure cooker’ environments in modern-day living.

Psychic energy being unleashed on the community or the environment. Furious emotions. Unexpected releases of power and turbulence. The awesome power of nature. Instability.

The Caution: Wrongly believing that you are in control of an uncontrollable situation. Enjoyment and promotion of emotional storms and turmoil. Whipping things up. Storms.
