The energies are really high at the moment as we have Jupiter and Mars squaring off each other. Of course, the energies can work together, and work together really, really well, but with the square there can be people rubbing up Kapowagainst each other, people’s ideas, thoughts, beliefs, passions, differing and causing friction. Also, Mercury is coming up the rear and is soon to conjunct (be on the same degree) Jupiter. This can blow things out of proportion, have people arguing and working at different tangents, however, it can also bring a fresh new verse to situations and projects – with ambition and new insights and new incentives.

Jupiter is on Leo 4: A MAN FORMALLY DRESSED STANDS NEAR TROPHIES BROUGHT BACK FROM A HUNTING EXPEDITION

This Symbol speaks of awards and trophies and displaying what one is capable of or what’s been achieved or won. Putting on your best and showing people what you’re made of is great, but it is one thing to achieve something and yet another to display one’s achievements for all to see. There may be an urge to impress others, but some people will not be pleased with the display, some can be very impressed whilst others may be distinctly unimpressed. Think carefully of the effects before you proclaim your winnings or awards or show what you’ve conquered. Remember; trophies come in all shapes and sizes.

Trophies of conquest. The will to prove oneself. Showing one’s animal instincts for the benefit of society. Daring and courage. Notches on the belt. Diplomas. Guns and bullets.

The Caution: Trying to dominate the elements of nature with power. Warfare and its ravages. Seeing things as objects to conquer. Braggers and boasters. Arrogance.

and Mars is on Scorpio 4: A YOUTH HOLDING A LIGHTED CANDLE IN A DEVOTIONAL RITUAL GAINS A SENSE OF THE GREAT ‘OTHER WORLD’

This Symbol shows a sense of faith and wide-eyed innocence that draws spiritual experiences in, sometimes in rather unexpected ways. There’s a feeling of reverence here, along with ritual and ceremony. The “Candle” depicts the light that illuminates one’s consciousness and “A Youth” implies a young person, perhaps doing an apprenticeship or an aspirant on the path to spiritual self-actualization. The “Youth” gets a glimpse into spirit, into the hidden side of life, perhaps having clairvoyant visions or getting goose-bumps from moments when the veil between the two worlds seems very thin. Rituals of all shapes and sizes and simple rays of hope give you spiritual strength. Light a candle and affirm your intentions.

Simple ideals. Ceremonies and attitudes pure and uncomplicated. Affirming intention. The light of consciousness. Naïve and well meaning gestures. Spiritualist meetings.

The Caution: Naive reliance on insincere promises. False feelings of reverence. Shallow responses. Placebos. Hallucinogens. Prejudice against youth and youngsters. Insincere.

Mercury is currently on a Symbol that can bring up a strong need for independence of thought and action – Leo 2: A MATURE WOMAN, KEEPING UP WITH THE TIMES, HAVING HER HAIR BOBBED

This Symbol speaks of being in tune with fashions, keeping up with the times and having a modern outlook on life. Although it’s clear that you cannot become different just by changing your appearance, feeling good about your image or how you look does radiate both inwardly and outwardly. This degree often shows up for people who make a difference in the world through their forward thinking and their ability to be individuals even in the world of trends or fashion. Although this degree speaks about fashion, external changes may impress others or make you feel better for a time, but truly, it’s your inner self that is the essence of who and what you are, not the mask you wear.

Making an effort to keep up with trends. Asserting one’s independence from social constraints. Shrugging off the years. Plastic surgery. Younger attitudes. Midlife crisis.

The Caution: Relying on external fashion to disguise inner emptiness. Being a slave to the times. Battling society’s glorification of youth. Mutton dressed up as lamb.

It’s going to be a very interesting couple of days… the trick, I guess, is to watch one’s thoughts and inclinations as things can get a wee bit overheated with all this energy going on.
