Mercury On Libra 8: A Blazing Fireplace In A Deserted Home
Mercury is on Libra 8: A BLAZING FIREPLACE IN A DESERTED HOME
Are you feeling lonely? Unsure about your safety and security? Feeling perhaps like there’s no one to talk to about the issues facing you? Missing family and/or friends? Feeling the desire to get back to an earlier time when you felt safer, more loved?
This Symbol implies the ability, or the necessity, to provide warmth and reassurance in times of emptiness, loss or desertion. You may need to remember that even in times of real loneliness, when you feel separated from your ‘center’, there is a constant, unseen, sustaining energy always ready to welcome you home: whether it be the fire of your own spiritual center, the warmth and familiarity of family and kin, or a knowing that one is sustained by humanity at large. You may need this reassurance yourself or you may be the one to help others in their hour of need.
To top it off, Mercury is quincunx (150 degrees) to Neptune. This can have us feeling even more unsafe or unsure or unloved (or, unheard). The quincunx is an aspect that I call ‘the itch that is hard to scratch’… watching and observing may be the way forward at the moment… lighting a fire – even if it’s only a candle – can sometimes help bring that warmth and light to you.
Security and comfort left behind. Wood for burning and heating. Gas and electricity. Holiday homes. Homes rarely visited or inhabited. Homes filled with love, if not people or possessions. The warmth of the heart or the hearth. Fertility issues. Sweat lodges.
The Caution: Isolation, separation, abandonment or bitterness. Sabotage by or of loved ones. Being forced out, possibly for social reasons. Divorce. Latch-key children.
