The Mars/Pluto Conjunction And Venus Etc: The 3rd US Presidential Debate
I woke up this morning in Sydney Australia, and the upcoming presidential debate crossed my mind. Thinking about the current Mars/Pluto conjunction brings with it visions of things getting out of hand, whether in the actual debate, or, with supporters of either candidate. A lot of angst, opposition and anxiety is likely to come from this debate (possibly even more than the last two as we have had some very ramped up energies going on lately).
So, what does the Mars/Pluto Sabian Symbol say? It’s Capricorn 16: SCHOOL GROUNDS FILLED WITH BOYS AND GIRLS IN GYMNASIUM SUITS – taking into account the fact that it’s Pluto and Mars on this degree, we can see how this degree could talk about ‘sexual’ issues –
This degree shows the ability, or the need, to be vibrant and alive and in the physical body with enthusiasm and excitement about life and the future. The “Gymnasium Suits” shows the need to get active and to stay active, to have time in your life to drop into the physical body and enjoy it, often in the company of others. If you’ve been neglecting your physical well-being, it is good to reestablish that affinity with your body and your vitality. Spontaneous enthusiasm and the joy of being ‘alive’ can regenerate and revive and bring about carefree contact with like minded people. The trick is to bring some form of physical discipline into your life while enjoying it and not feeling forced to do what you don’t want to do.
Developing muscular coordination. Sexual energy or satisfaction. Playing, marching, competition, rivalry. Activities of unity. The search for identity. Being one of many.
The Caution: Showing off. Relationships based on physical or sexual attraction. Feeling only one of the many. Being forced to do things. Rote performances. People that disdain the intellectual.
I thought about the various ramifications of that degree, and, then thought that, aside from the sexual emphasis that has been surrounding this election, there is the need for the person who wins to be ‘fit’ to be president. I then went on line to confirm the time and place of the debate and saw the following on Vox.com:
The debate, which is in Las Vegas, Nevada, will last 90 minutes and be moderated by Fox News’s Chris Wallace. The topics — selected by Wallace — will include debt and entitlements, immigration, the economy, the Supreme Court, foreign hot spots, and “fitness to be president.”
It is interesting to note that, on the date of the election (November 8), Pluto will still be on Boys And Girls In Gymnasium Suits… and, Pluto is smack bang in the middle of Capricorn… so, the sexual angle is pretty strong in all of this – as are the ‘millennials’..
Also of note is Venus on Sagittarius 3: TWO MEN PLAYING CHESS
This Symbol shows the ability, or the necessity, to indulge in strategic games, arguments or competitions. There can be a strong sense of knowing how to maneuver situations in order to win or come out on top, often with an eye to possible outcomes. Often, there’s a need to be thoughtful and cautious, taking into account the wider picture. Impulsive acts with no forward planning can be risky. It probably pays to not show your weak side, but do everything with the possible objective of winning. It can be difficult to relax in competitive environments; one often feels that they can’t let their guard down because they might be taken advantage of, in some way. Take one step at a time and move with purpose and forethought.
Strategic competition. Seeing the picture several moves ahead.
Trying to knock out the opponent. Arguments. Court battles. War strategies. Matching wits. Lawyers. Divorce.
The Caution: Depending on pure luck. Underestimating the opponent’s skill or strategy. Bickering and trying to get the better. Wanting to slay the opponent. Not knowing when to stop.
The Moon’s north node is on Virgo 12: A BRIDE WITH HER VEIL SNATCHED AWAY
There may be a feeling that somebody is not quite ready to give themselves completely to the situation, but they do not really have much choice. If one doesn’t go willingly, then they’ll be pushed forward – finally taking the plunge. There can be an unveiling of one’s true identity. Proving oneself with no excuses and no presence. Time to break down any walls that are keeping people from relating on a deep level.
Secret motives revealed. Unveiling and exposing. The desire for privacy.
The Caution: Stubbornly refusing to accept new directions in life. Failing to commit. Not coming up with what one promised.
So, all this talk about relationships, sexual issues, infidelity, sexual assault, crossing the boundaries of what is ‘right and decent’ are all shown in these Symbols.
If you’re feeling rather blah, disappointed, a bit bashed-up, despondent, or whatever, about this debate, this election season, this debacle that is constantly unfolding that is called politics, we can always call on the angels –
The Sun is on Libra 28: A MAN ALONE IN DEEP GLOOM. UNNOTICED, ANGELS ARE COMING TO THEIR AID
This Symbol shows help, encouragement and assistance coming when one is most in need of it. There can be an inclination to depression with this degree, but it seems that, particularly if faith is employed, there is always some redeeming event or someone helpful turns up and the “Gloom” is dispersed and the light returns to one’s life; there is a realization that things are getting better. There are likely to be periods of going through a difficult time, but it will always dawn on you that you are being ‘helped’ in some way; ‘Angels’ come to aid those who need their help. Don’t be afraid to ask for their assistance. Have hope, faith, trust and work on changing your attitude and watch how hope returns.
Realizing you are not alone. Awareness of spiritual help. Angels, friends, helpers. Changes in the weather. Salvation versus depression. Counselors. People who lend a hand.
The Caution: Unrealistic reliance on spiritual agencies or help from others. Gloom. Not recognizing joy. Being alone and forgotten. Refusing help. Up one minute and down the next.
Of course, there’s more… there always is…
