May’s Scorpio full Moon falls on May 10 in the US and May 11 in Australia. It’s a pretty full-on full Moon energy-wise, and, we are likely to see all kinds of events, political, social and otherwise, from it. The main theme of this full Moon is the idea of going AWOL. Of course, there are many ways to go AWOL – absent without leave – we can say ‘no, not going to accept this, do that, stay here, perform this duty’ etc, and/or, it can show people not fulfilling their duties – the duties they ‘signed-up’ for, promised to do, vowed to stand by, etc. We (or they) can leave a situation physically, mentally or emotionally. The trick with the Sabian Symbol for this full Moon is to obey one’s conscience and not go against or beyond the dictates of what one wants to do.
This is yet another powerful lunation. We have Pluto sextiling the Moon and trining the Sun. This type of aspect, especially as it is a rather tight aspect (close to exact), can bring about big changes in our lives. We can make decisions, have events, people, situations, opportunities, etc, turn up, sometimes from out of the blue, sometimes because of the effort or work we have previously applied to our objectives. The trick with Pluto is to listen to our inner voice, our intuition, as this is how we’ll know where to next.
Mercury is now direct, after being retrograde. It has not cleared it’s shadow yet (that won’t happen until around the 21st or 22nd May), but, we are very likely to be feeling the wind more at our backs now, giving us the impetus to get going with plans, ideas, opportunities that we might have had on the back burner. In fact, we may want to push forward, however, careful steps one after the other are advised at the moment, especially as Mercury is conjunct (together with) Uranus. With conditions shifting, we might want to really check out our options before making commitments. Soon after this full Moon, Mercury moves out of Aries and into Taurus, and, we might get the sense that things aren’t quite as urgent as we might have thought.
Adding to the mix of wanting to get organised, solid, or, going ahead with our plans is the trine between the Mercury/Uranus conjunction and Saturn. Saturn is also on the Galactic Center, so, we’re being asked to watch our thoughts, especially as Saturn and Chiron are still in square aspect to each other. If we identify our wounds (our Stories That We Tell Ourselves), we can take the charge out of them and see things for how they really are.
Another shift that’s happening is the north node moving into Leo, where it will be until November 2018. Time to get going with our creativity, and, focus on our needs, and, it can be a time of focusing more on having fun.
Mars and Jupiter are in a nice trine aspect to each other, bring with it a sense of optimism, or, the need for it. Staying positive and watching our thoughts can bring up some interesting doors, even if we weren’t sure that they were even there. This is made even stronger by Venus and Jupiter being opposite each other around May 19-20. Venus will at that time be clearing the shadow of it’s retrograde. Curiously, and, it feels like a dose of providence or good luck, Jupiter goes direct exactly opposite the point that Venus went retrograde. This is a good thing, but, we may need to examine how much energy we should be expending as what we might really need (or want) is a rest, a holiday, some time out. I imagine that many are feeling this. Recent times have been rather trying and many are reporting that they are not sleeping well. I think the energies will calm down somewhat over the coming weeks.
Adding to the need to give things a chance to breathe before making strong moves forward is Mars and Neptune being in exact square to each other. This can bring about inspiration, illumination, a deeper spiritual purpose, etc, but, it can also have us not seeing the whole picture, and, we can misjudge conditions if we’re being a bit too fanciful or idealistic. The firm grounding of our visions is the trick here, and, measuring three times and cutting once, as the saying goes.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased – it’s like we can see in the dark – and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it’s lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there’s magic unleashed with every full Moon.
The full Moon is on Scorpio 21: OBEYING THEIR CONSCIENCE, A SOLDIER RESISTS ORDERS – the following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom – This Symbol can be about leaving, or, staying, it all depends on your situation. One thing is for sure, though, we may feel like rebelling, we may want to go our own way even if it’s a matter of being castigated or shunned by some. We may feel that others are letting us down, especially if they are not living up to their responsibilities. On the political scene, this degree can play out strongly with a feeling that we have been deserted by those who should be standing by us.
Commentary: ‘Obeying His Conscience, a Solder Resists Orders’ is an image of someone coming to terms with the fact that he can’t perform the duty that is expected of him because it goes against the grain of who he truly is, what he truly stands for and what it is that he wants out of life. He needs to ‘Obey His Conscience’ and ‘Resist Orders’. Doing things that go against the very fabric of his being may mean he may never be able to live with himself. Indeed, he may have to go AWOL and completely leave what he’s been expected or, indeed, trained to do.
Oracle: We sometimes find that society has drawn up rules and regulations to live by that are inappropriate for our inner world. When this happens, we find ourselves compromised if we are expected to follow through or act on them. This Symbol speaks of the need to occasionally ‘Disobey’ the structures of society and what is expected. You may find yourself in a situation where expectations put on you go directly against your values. There is often the difficult choice between allegiance (to a relationship, a job, a country, etc) and your own inner beliefs, truths, objectives and ambitions. True freedom can only be found within when one faces these situations with a sense of integrity and a full understanding of the consequences that are possible. Are you aware of and prepared for any consequences that may come from a refusal to comply or conform to what others want? What “punishments” may come from refusing to ‘Obey Orders’? What are the ‘Orders’, who makes them and who is responsible for them when they’re carried out? There can be confusion around relationships, resulting in difficulties in following what society says should be done. Is it a longing for a return to a pure state of love that freezes you? Are you prepared to stand your ground and uphold your values?
Keywords: Personal morality. Doing what one’s conscience dictates. Going against the status quo. Doing the unexpected. Going by the promptings of the inner voice. The consequences of having a conscience. Not coming home. People clinging to each other. Love that restrains.
The Caution: Displaying cowardice or a lack of courage to act. Not doing what one is expected to do. ‘Going over the top’ in a wild and crazy way. Going AWOL. Being the one who lets everyone down. Court Martials. Antisocial behavior. Anarchists. Being “uncommitted” or “unavailable”. Choosing play instead of duty. Goofing off.
The Karmic Degree for the full Moon is Scorpio 20: A WOMAN DRAWING ASIDE TWO DARK CURTAINS THAT CLOSED THE ENTRANCE TO A SACRED PATHWAY – the feminine – issues to do with women can be strong with this degree. The sense of wanting, or needing, to go down a different pathway can arise. The rights of women can be a major focus with this degree.
This Symbol shows the ability or the need to be able to draw aside confusions or obstructions that impede your path or stop you from realizing where you could be or
go. You, either alone or with others, may feel the need to venture down new “Pathways” or investigate new possibilities, but you will have to muster faith and overcome fear to enter these new realms, these “Sacred” places. You will require both courage and inquisitive desire. Venturing down these paths make it clear that your sphere of operation and action will become vastly enlarged with the new perspective that opens for you.
Keywords: Mysteries revealed, sometimes after a long wait. Feminine mysteries laid out before you. Woman’s reproductive organs, especially the vagina. The mysteries of the Goddesses. Getting past things that are cloaked or shielded from entry or view. Sexual mysteries. Open Sesame. Clairvoyant readings that reveal the ‘Path’. Invitations to the unknown. Drawing aside inhibitions. Following through on things. Undressing.
The Caution: Being seduced into dark and sinister things or being led astray. Not being shown the true picture or the truth. Frigidity and closing off sexual responses. Being, or feeling, shut out. Dark rooms with little sign of life.
The Quest Degree for the full Moon is Scorpio 22: HUNTERS PROTECTED BY HEAVY CLOTHING ARE SHOOTING WILD DUCKS – this can be a difficult degree, depending on what side of the equation one is on. We may feel like we are being taken advantage of, and, we might have a sense of danger arising. This degree can show the need to protect animals, birds, etc.
This Symbol implies the need for protection of those innocent or younger, smaller, or not able to protect themselves. Being an advocate for others, you can shield them from the more harmful elements of society. You may, at times, feel that you are the one that needs to be protected or given shelter or in need of people declaring a ceasefire and amnesty so people can come out into the open and not be afraid to show their true selves. Of course, there is a need for an outlet for aggressive emotions every now and then. Doing so in groups gives this outlet, such as “Shooting Wild Ducks” some sense of acceptability. However, picking on the undefended or smaller is not right, no matter what the terms.
Keywords: Satiating one’s aggressive desires. Being able to hit the mark. Putting up with violence in one’s life, whether physical, mental, spiritual or emotional. Road, and other, types of rage. The armed services and their responsibilities. War. Terrorism in its many forms. Camouflage. Being an armed force. Armaments.
The Caution: Exploitation of those who are more vulnerable. Taking unfair advantage of the innocent or the less experienced. Feeling like a sitting duck. Nowhere to run or hide. Hormones running rampant. Mindless violence. War crimes tribunals. Gang warfare. Indiscriminate actions.
The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy – yours and others.
The Sun is on Taurus 21: A MOVING FINGER POINTS TO SIGNIFICANT PASSAGES IN A BOOK – this can show rules and regulations, and, we could find ourselves examining these. It can also show writing, along with reading…
This Symbol points to going by the book and taking things as rules to be lived or taking things literally. You may feel that you know all about life, or that you need to learn all about it. You could feel as though you have read the book on life. There are, however, finer details that you may have missed and you may need to look again. There is a clear indication that you could look for something outside of yourself for clues on how to live or how to be. However, be discriminating about what is really significant. Find the essential details of a situation and disregard the rest. Looking for clues. Reading significant pieces of writing. Instruction manuals. Lawyers and the law. Oracles and synchronicities. Reading passages that reflect life. Memories.
Keywords: Finding the essential details of a situation and disregarding the rest. The cursor on the computer screen. Reading and writing books. Keeping records. Instruction manuals. Lawyers and the law. Editing. Reviewing. Reference books. Reading the Oracle. Memories. Quoting scripture. Testimony. Rules.
The Caution: Doing things because they need to be done and only going by the rules of the book. Automated responses. Religious fundamentalism. Only doing those things that are officially sanctioned. Not observing the entire picture. Keeping tallies. Flaunting the rules.
The Quest Degree for the Sun is Taurus 22: A WHITE DOVE FLYING STRAIGHT AND FEARLESSLY OVER TROUBLED WATERS – listening for signs of love, hope and redemption can bring breakthroughs in understanding.
This Symbol implies a talent for bringing calm, protection and good tidings to those who need help. Although there may be trouble all around, you are able to rise above this and find safe ground. You may have to cross over into the dark side in order to bring order and safety to people’s lives. Even though you, or someone else, may be lost from sight for a while and some may feel abandoned, they will return and bring guidance to safety and reassurance. You may need to send, or receive, a message to those who could be feeling left out and in need of reassurance.
Keywords: Transcending worries through spiritual awareness. Prophetic missions. Peace. Healing messages from the “other side”. Overcoming phobias. Fearlessness. Feelings of immortality. Going straight for the objective. Calming troubled minds. Redemption and messages of hope. Couriers.
The Caution: Being too caught up in worries. Not accepting that things are getting better or accepting reassurance from others. Not being cautious of risks. Being daunted by an ominous task. Gossip. Spreading rumors.
The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy – yours and others.
Mercury is on Aries 27: THROUGH IMAGINATION, A LOST OPPORTUNITY IS REGAINED – this can be a fabulous Symbol, especially as Mercury is conjunct Uranus, and, Uranus is about to spend nearly three weeks on this degree. With Mercury trining Saturn (which is on the Galactic Centre), this brings a wonderful opportunity to tune into the Law Of Attraction. Again, this is about watching our thoughts. What is it that you want now?
This Symbol shows the talent or the ability to be able to use inner creative energy to revitalize ideas or opportunities that seemed to be lost. Whatever it is that you need to do, believe that it is possible and create an image in your mind and you will most likely succeed at gaining it or recovering it. Always take heart; there is energy here to recapture things that seemed to be lost. Visualizing what you want, allowing time and watching for it to manifest can bring astounding results. Sometimes, however, the “lost opportunities regained” are in a different form than we had first imagined. Creative imagination and visualization. Hope renewed. Second chances. Last minute reprieves. Being forgiven or pardoned. Imagineering. Making up for losses.
Keywords: Creative imagination and visualization. Hopes renewed when all seemed lost. Second chances. Last minute reprieves. Retracing your steps. Judging things to be positive when once they were thought to be negative. Being exonerated or forgiven. Pardons giving release. Imagineering. Retrieving things. Making up for lost ground or time. Changing your mind therefore changing your outcome.
The Caution: Relying on self pity which denies using the imagination to recover situations. Not noticing the solutions to problems. Going over and over lost opportunities.
The Karmic Degree for Mercury is Aries 26: A PERSON POSSESSED OF MORE GIFTS THAN THEY CAN HOLD – letting go of the outworn, no-longer-useful and the extraneous is key here, as is realising the talents, gifts and possibilities that are showing up now for you.
This Symbol often shows someone who has more talent, more possessions, more gifts than most other people. Perhaps too much is demanded or expected of you or you expect life to give you more and more and more. Recognize that you are surrounded by abundance, but perhaps you are unable to experience it all at once. If you don’t feel you have the ability to cope with all that life throws at you then look in your ‘storehouse’ and you could be surprised at talents you have that have never even been used. You may have to give up some things in order to make room for others.
Keywords: Potentials and the obsessions they can bring. Obsessions about “having things” or achieving goals. Counting one’s blessings. Jack-of-all-trades. Having to drop the bundle if one more thing is added. Being talented and blessed. Enormous responsibilities. Wanting to contain all possibilities. Storage. So many things to do—so little time.
The Caution: Not being able to focus on one issue at a time, or on ideas of real worth and therefore not really achieving anything. Inability to gain or contain everything that is desired. Ambition that knows no bounds. Greediness and insatiability. Being told that you can’t have what you want. Things piling up. Juggling and dropping the ball. Feeling as though you will lose everything. Being overwhelmed with possibilities.
The Quest Degree for Mercury is Aries 28: A LARGE DISAPPOINTED AUDIENCE – I know that a lot of people are feeling ‘disappointed’ (I’m sure there’s a stronger word) about what’s going on, especially in the world of politics. It’s, again, by watching our thoughts that we can see where we can let go of disappointment, to realise the rewards that we DO have in our lives.
This Symbol shows a sense of being an observer or a spectator, sometimes more than being a participant. You may have an inner critic that analyses things. In fact you might feel as though you, or someone else, have failed and left something wanting. But how much is this because too much was expected in the first place? The ‘Audience’ sometimes only remembers the last performance, so get up and try again. Be aware that you may be your own ‘audience’. Do you feel that things have or haven’t lived up to expectations? Are you missing out through negative projections? Perhaps your need to feel satisfied, to perform or be fulfilled should be more realistic.
Keywords: Adjustments of expectations bringing realizations about what is really possible. Expecting the response of others. Walking out during a performance. Not listening to something through a lack of interest. Anticipating a different result from what is delivered. Relying on feedback. Lines and queues of people. Criticism. The need to inspire and enthuse.
The Caution: Feeling sad, sorry or letdown because of defeat and frustration. A lot of people left feeling emotionally “wiped-out”. Shattering of illusions. Fickleness. The attitude that one can’t do anything. Everything being out of one’s control. Watching what’s going on and not participating. Being at the mercy of the whims and fancies of others. Judging and analyzing oneself or others. Too many people crammed into one spot. Not getting a seat. Refusal of entry. Booing and hissing.
Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is on Aries 8: A WOMAN’S HAT WITH STREAMERS BLOWN BY THE EAST WIND – we might need to stabilize our thoughts and emotions, otherwise we may find ourselves vacillating (which can be ok, especially if we’re in the process of finding our center).
Allow traditional wisdom to lead you to new and different solutions, but be wary of acting superficially. In deeper, spiritual messages you are afforded protection from the more disturbing elements of situations. Shifts of mind and attitude may happen as a result, indeed, they may need to happen. You may need to adjust continually to outside forces, but you have the ability to be adaptable, so hang onto your center and what anchors you and try not to get blown off-course.
Keywords: Attuning oneself through Eastern philosophies. Protective guidance. Balloons and hot-air ballooning. Compasses. Weather vanes and wind chimes. East meets west. Being adaptable to the moment. The winds of time and change. Shifts in the ‘Wind’ bringing shifts in attitude or direction. Hats, scarves, streamers.
The Caution: Only accepting solutions that satisfy selfish or social needs. Insincerity and easily blown around. Losing one’s rudder. Continually getting off track.
The Quest Degree for Venus is Aries 9: A SEER GAZES INTENTLY INTO A CRYSTAL BALL IN FRONT OF THEM – time to examine what’s really going on, what the real story is.
This Symbol shows the ability to focus, take in insights, analyze meaning and draw conclusions from the available information. It is likely that the whole picture is there in front of you, but you may need to interpret its meaning. With a little concentrated effort, you will be able to see things very clearly. There is the ability to observe things that others may miss. Try really tuning in and looking within for answers as you have the ability to see them with just a bit of focus. What is your unconscious mind trying to tell you? Is your gaze wide enough or too narrow?
Keywords: Flashes of inspiration. Tuning in and looking within for answers. Creative visualizations. Aura readings. Cutting through irrelevant messages. Looking carefully at structure. Seeking perfection. Clairvoyance. Illumination and deep insights. Looking ahead to see the signs.
The Caution: Confused by literal meanings. Not seeing the symbolic message. Always looking this way and that, not at the center. Getting lost in the big picture. Daydreaming and ignoring what’s really going on. Obsessing over what may happen. Needing to know what’s coming up. Being impatient.
Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.
Mars is on Gemini 14: TWO PEOPLE, AT WIDELY DIFFERENT POINTS, ARE IN CONVERSATION WITH EACH OTHER BY MEANS OF TELEPATHY – this can be a very strong Symbol of connecting in with others and the world around us, especially as Mars is in a tight square with Neptune. Using that ‘crystal ball’ (mentioned above) can help as we want to be sure that we’re picking up the ‘right’ signals.
This Symbol speaks of psychic and clairvoyant communication with others and the ability to be able to pick up on what others are thinking. You can communicate with someone and it is not always necessary to be physically face-to-face, or on the phone or emailing them or the like. You can have bonds with people that are unaffected by distance or actually being in touch with each other. Let your heart tell you that you are always in their company and there is no need to feel alone. Keeping others in your mind and heart will communicate something to them, and probably they back to you.
Keywords: Conquering space and time limitations. Psychic and mental communication. Sharing and thinking the same ideas. Knowing what is felt or thought by others. Feeling connected regardless of physical contact. Being on the same frequency. Mediumship. Telepathic communication. Conversation. Direct lines of communication. Mind reading.
The Caution: Blocking out sensitive awareness for the sake of social needs or expectations. Mind and thought control. Manipulating by subtle means. Losing contact. Not getting the message. Not seeing eye-to-eye. Barging into other people’s space
Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.
Jupiter is retrograde on Libra 15: CIRCULAR PATHS – around and around we go. We might feel like we’re in a maze if we’re going over and over and over things in a way that is not helpful.
This Symbol implies issues to do with ever repeating cycles of activity that often lead one around in circles or back to where one began. ‘Circular Paths’ lead us around and there may indeed be a feeling of being back where you started, but remember the experience and learning you have gained on your journey to where you are now. There is a cosmic rhythm and cycle, but when you return to what seems to be where you started, you will have new experience and new skills. However, if you’re not getting anywhere it can be because of addictive behavior that continually leads to the same result.
Keywords: Going round and round. The orbits of the planets. Cosmic rhythms and cycles. The cycles of life. Things we feel we can trust. The secure path that never really leads anywhere. Crop circles. Realizing mistakes and learning from them. The wheels of progress. Merry-go-rounds. Circular machinery. Mazes and labyrinths. Chaos theory. Learning through repetition. Looking for somewhere to park.
The Caution: Being lost in abstractions or small details. Losing perspective from going round and round. Addictive cycles that are hard to get rid of. Boredom. Episodes that repeat themselves. Repeating the same actions or mistakes. Treadmills. Habits that are self-defeating.
Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.
Saturn is retrograde on Sagittarius 27: THE SCULPTOR’S VISION IS SLOWLY BUT SURELY TAKING FORM – Saturn here is really pushing us to come to terms with our objectives, the stories that run through our mind, the things we want to see made manifest in our lives.
This Symbol shows being able to project one’s visions, thoughts or ideals out into the world so that they take form and come into conscious manifestation. This is the degree of the Galactic Center and it holds an enormous charge of energy and power, something not to be taken lightly. There is a responsibility inherent in this for you to understand that your thoughts will take shape, so be careful about what you think! You may find yourself in situations where you can manipulate events into something of value and lasting integrity. Slow, painstaking work will bring rewards as things come to fruition. You are able to project shape and form onto materials to have a desired outcome. Follow your “Vision”, be creative; picture an outcome and watch it materialize!
Keywords: Concrete creative manifestation. The Godhead. This is the Symbol of the Galactic Center. Creating the ‘Vision’. Evolution. Things going from crude beginnings all the way up to concrete outcomes. Sculptors and sculptures. Molding shapes and forms. Seeing and visualizing things ahead of their time. Sticking with the creation.
The Caution: Disregard of others’ needs. Unnatural focus on the goal. Being one-eyed about the outcome. Watching a situation, or one’s life “crystallize” into unbending shapes. Having one’s designs set in stone. Sitting back and thinking that things will just magically happen without any effort being made. Others believing they know what you should do or be.
The Karmic Degree for retrograde Saturn is Sagittarius 26: A FLAG-BEARER IN A BATTLE – Saturn moves onto this degree a few days after this full Moon and is on this degree for a few weeks.
This Symbol shows standing up in “Battle” carrying the “Flag” for your nation, political, social or moral beliefs, or for some issue that needs defending or supporting.
The “Flag-Bearer” is often the one ‘out front’, in front of the situation or the army; the one who’s unarmed and yet determined to represent their side. You may feel that there have been achievements done by you or others that need to be acknowledged. Responsibilities pile up on you, and the struggle is not always easy. Don’t worry, though, although everyone around you is busy, they are noticing your leadership abilities. You are often the linchpin of the whole situation.
Keywords: Having the courage of convictions. Standing up for ideals. Representing one’s collective in a worthy cause. Carrying the standard or the ‘Flag’. David and Goliath. Being the messenger. Advocates. Ensigns. Leadership. Self sacrifice. Fighting for political ideals. Flag waving.
The Caution: The sacrificial lamb. Overzealous idealism. Empty shows of courage. The scapegoat. Always being ready to go into battle. Violence. Fanaticism. Stepping out of line. An inability to keep quiet. Not knowing when to back off.
Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.
Uranus is on Aries 26: A PERSON POSSESSED OF MORE GIFTS THAN THEY CAN HOLD – it seems that many of us are becoming ‘master jugglers’ in our lives…
The Karmic Degree for Uranus is Aries 25: A DOUBLE PROMISE REVEALS ITS INNER AND OUTER MEANINGS – what ‘promises’ have been made? What have not been honoured?
This Symbol shows that what at first appears to be may reveal itself to actually be something else. Simple promises can be more complicated than first thought. The rational and emotional responses can conflict with each other; one wants something, the other wants something else. However, this can be the way to really view things, from an inner and outer perspective. Also indicates the choice that arises – of the heart and of social obligation. Realize the implications of expectations and promises.
Keywords: Rewards, but what do they bring with them? The possible implications of or reasons for any promises. Something that may look good on the outside, but prove to be difficult. Looking for consensus. Possibilities and promises. The ins and outs of situations. Not turning up. The need to look at situations from all sides. Internal vs. external realities. Catch-22 situations. Contracts.
The Caution: Fickleness, insincerity and two-facedness in human relationships. Expectations without clarification. Reversals of decisions or promises. Duplicity. Manipulating people in order to achieve outcomes. Promising more than can be delivered. Endeavours or projects that are not worth the effort. Lies and misleading statements. Having a hidden agenda. Momentary pledges that are soon forgotten. Contracts that bind.
Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or ‘different’. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.
Neptune is on Pisces 14: A LADY WRAPPED IN FOX FUR
This shows being able to present an image that shows intelligence, cleverness, glamour and beauty, along with knowing how to move in social circles. The “Lady Wrapped in Fox Fur” is someone who’s sure of themselves, able to bend to situations and have situations bend to their own desires. It often shows getting out of, or into, anything they want. You can present an image that enhances your position in society. Intelligence and wit will probably see you through, with others noticing your beauty, grace or intellect. If, however, the guise was stripped away, would you still express the same qualities? You may have to display your capabilities because of negative prejudice, chauvinism, or being underestimated.
Keywords: Outer expressions of real inner worth. Animal magnetism and attraction. Intelligence and its display. Cloaks of feminine wit and sexuality. Beguiling minds. Animal totems and furs. Perceived beauty. The sense of having class and money. Beauty, fashion and talent. Being forward and upfront. Sense of personal style. Grace and composure. Elegance. Knowing what to say and when. Dressing up. Money spent on beauty. Tempting others with sexual signals. Perfumes. Pheromones. Taxidermy.
The Caution: False fronts and expressions of wealth. Selling out for momentary, or monetary, gain. Wrapped in intellectual superficiality. The fatal allure of beauty. Scoring points solely through charisma. Being so caught up in fashion and glamor that one loses a true sense of self. Being overdressed.
The Quest Degree for Neptune is Pisces 15: AN OFFICER DRILLING HIS MEN IN A SIMULATED ATTACK – Neptune will soon move onto this degree, and, around mid-June, Neptune will go stationary retrograde on this degree. I’m seeing the effects of this already. Neptune’s message seems to be to not get caught up in ‘Chicken Little’ stories of the sky is falling and the end of the world is near.
This shows being well rehearsed, prepared and ready for anything that life throws at you. When you’re well rehearsed, you are able to spring to attention when situations warrant it. You may feel that you need to rehearse or prepare for difficult situations. There is wisdom in practicing to reduce the chance of error or failure. However, are you going over and over possible positive or negative outcomes thereby losing the joy that can be found in relaxing and letting down your guard? Sometimes the things we think are going to happen don’t happen at all. Choosing where, when and how to be ready and willing to go for objectives is half the battle.
Keywords: Taking orders to better respond to situations. The higher self training the lower self. Exercises. Marching and going through the motions. The need for defense. Seeing ahead. Planning strategies. Fire drills. Smoke alarms. Being prepared. Issuing orders and expecting them to be followed through. Discipline. Martial arts of all kinds. Going over and over possible outcomes. Safeguards put in place. Gas masks and bomb shelters.
The Caution: Rigid routine for no real or valuable purpose. Feeling that one has always to be on the defensive. Being under attack, whether real or imagined. Overreacting to things. Feelings of unworthiness in the face of battle or confrontation. Victim consciousness. Fearful responses. Getting others to respond through spreading fear. Scare tactics.
Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, “out there,” spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.
Pluto is retrograde on Capricorn 20: A HIDDEN CHOIR SINGING DURING A RELIGIOUS SERVICE – listening to background messages, to your intuition, the transformative voices can be very rewarding, especially now.
This Symbol shows singing, playing or enjoying music, and, also, to be able to pick up on things that others don’t see or hear. The “Hidden Choir” brings songs, or sounds, with messages of salvation and faith. The fact that they are hidden shows something coming out of the background, something subtle, something others may miss. It can be important to be receptive to your feminine, intuitive side, as there are messages to be heard. Realize that you are not alone; there are other people who feel the same things. Watch out for mental noise. The voices of the women heard more through orthodox halls. Do you want to contribute?
Keywords: Background messages. Voices not heard or noticed before. Men, women and the church. Sensitivity to spirituality. Speaking behind closed doors. Voices from “nowhere”. Melodies from the past. Choirs, organs and organ music. Channeled voices. Songs, sheet music. Hidden speakers. Clairvoyance.
The Caution: Taking undue credit for group qualities. Keeping the feminine out of the picture. Discriminating against people as not being “spiritual” or finding that some just plain aren’t! Background voices telling people how they should live. Using hidden messages to manipulate people, sometimes through guilt. Gossip. Messages that don’t make sense. Being afraid to sing.
The Karmic Degree for Pluto is Capricorn 19: A CHILD OF ABOUT FIVE CARRYING A HUGE SHOPPING BAG FILLED WITH GROCERIES – many are feeling the weight of the world on their shoulders. Pluto has recently spent some weeks on this degree. There are some who are in charge (or, taken positions of authority) who are not able to live up to their commitments. Pluto here could also be saying that it’s time to let go of the ‘weight’ of others.
This Symbol shows having to “Carry” heavy loads, to shoulder responsibilities, do chores and jobs and help others, sometimes because there’s no one else who can or will do it. Often, the “Child” gets these responsibilities because they are the one who others know is going to take it seriously, completing the task, taking care of details. You may feel that you have been burdened with responsibilities beyond normal expectations and possibly beyond your capability. Despite being keen and enthusiastic, you must be careful not to try to take on too much, or do too much, or too quickly. Like a child, you need to play, be creative and rest.
Keywords: Being the one everyone counts on to do the job. Feeling weighed down. Having to carry the “bag”. Lifting heavy weights and bearing the consequences. Taking on things above and beyond what one should. Acting the grownup. Maturing quickly. Looking after paperwork. Running errands. Providing food and sustenance for everyone.
The Caution: Overloading the innocent and the inexperienced without thought of the consequences. Taking on too much. Not allowing for fun and carefree activities. Never being “off-duty”. Joint, back and shoulder problems. Growing up too fast. Having a serious attitude. Lack of childhood. Dropping the bundle. Carrying the family’s responsibilities.
Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one’s power. Being king or queen of one’s underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy. Power vs power struggles.
Chiron is on Pisces 28: A FERTILE GARDEN UNDER THE FULL MOON – a sense of illumination can be very strong here, as is the perceived need to feel safe, secure and supported by life…
This shows enjoying nature and the fruits of your life, your country, your culture. There’s often a sense that one has all that’s needed, and emotions can be running high. The “Fertile Garden” signifies that you have things that you need at your disposal. This Symbol has a strong clairvoyant sense to it, with the ability to pick up on subtle energies and life forms in the environment. You’ll get a lot of opportunities to enjoy the moment, but keep a sense of equilibrium, as soon the energy will be on the wane and you’ll have to get back to more practical, everyday tasks.

The Moon’s North Node is on Leo 30: AN UNSEALED LETTER HAS VITAL AND CONFIDENTIAL INFORMATION – here we mark the passage of the Moon’s north node into Leo. One wonders what ‘confidential information’ is going to come to light. Wikileaks and official documents are likely to take center stage, as can our innermost thoughts and feelings.
This Symbol shows a message that is, or needs to be, spread either by writing it down or speaking it. There can, at times, be a desire to reveal one’s inner feelings; however the opposite can also be true; you may feel very confronted by the thought of wearing your heart on your sleeve. However you transmit this ‘Vital and Confidential Information’, it needs to be done from the heart and with integrity. When this is done the right people can see and benefit from it. Be aware of sharing information that isn’t yours to share or that breaks confidentiality with someone who trusts you.
Keywords: Wearing your heart on your sleeve. Shared thoughts and feelings. Declaring what needs to be said. “Dear John” letters. Laying one’s self on the line through writing things down. Diaries. Letters. Penmanship. Messages of intent. Things said out loud. Confidences.
The Caution: Playing games with information. Pretending to conceal for the purposes of deceit. Blurting things out. Not giving any indication of what’s thought. Being upset about having things out in the open. Passing on the secrets of others. Revealing things that shouldn’t be revealed.
The Moon’s North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a ‘karmic point’ (although all planets and points in a chart can be ‘karmic’). One’s destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.
The Moon’s South Node is on Aquarius 30: MOONLIT FIELDS, ONCE BABYLON, ARE BLOOMING WHITE – I’ve seen this degree come up when there’s talk about climate change, the issues to do with the state of the health of our Earth, etc. This is the first degree of the Age Of Aquarius (not that we know when we’re actually heading into the Aquarian Age)… but, this degree shows how things have to change in order for us to really thrive and not just survive.
This Symbol shows learning from the past, possibly great civilizations like “Babylon”, and taking the seeds from the past and making even greater achievements in your own time and place. Even though the grandeur of the past may be lost, changed or damaged by war or time, the energy and power remains. This Symbol reflects the permanence of the natural essence of a place, a person, an idea or a civilization. You may feel that you are in the right place at the right time. Your best qualities are recognized and appreciated. When you are following a true path, you are able to rely on the support of the universe in its flow. Rewards coming from efforts of past generations. Ancestors surrounding. Seeds of the past becoming the fruits of the present. The middle east. Fruits of culture. Artifacts.
Keywords: Rewards coming through from past generations. The feeling of ancestors surrounding one’s present deeds. Alchemy. Loss of ancient civilizations. Reverence for things from the past. The Middle East and all things middle-eastern. Belly-dancing. Rebirths of old civilizations. Grandeur. Seeds of the past becoming flowers and fruits of the present. Records. Fields that were once Avalon.
The Caution: Disbelieving because there are no rational structures or support. Destroying ancient lands or monuments because of religious beliefs or greed. The devastation and ruin of Iraq in order for the modern world to succeed. Projecting the sins of the world onto people or places that are foreign.
The Moon’s South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.
