Mars is just now leaving Libra, where it is has been for a long, protracted time – it’s been retrograde and driving us crazy – and now going into Scorpio – where it is way more ‘at home’.

Tourists Sight Seeing BusCuriously, the Sabian Symbol for Mars is not one of ‘being at home’ – well, not necessarily – it can have us very much at home but wanting to travel, wanting to reach out for the new, feeling like an observer perhaps, feeling like you don’t really belong where you are, like an outsider, like someone foreign or different. Scorpio 1 is a great degree, I love it, but Mars here can be rather exacting (or extracting) and wanting things from us when we’re just shaking our heads and waking up from the long transit through Libra. Well, it’s time to get serious about things after waffling on about them for perhaps too long. Perhaps it wasn’t too long, perhaps it was just the right amount of time to be giving birth to something new in you, in your life, in your world. Now, it’s time to take a good, long look at what you’ve done or produced over the last year or so…. what are your observations? What souvenirs are you taking from your recent soujourns? Journeys?

On the world stage, we have issues with planes… and in Israel, the planes have stopped flying in… and we are watching so much going on and Mars can have us angry, upset, fired up or freaked out about what’s going on.

It can also spur us on and give us the ambition needed to get things done.

Mars is on Scorpio 1: A SIGHT-SEEING BUS FILLED WITH TOURISTS

This Symbol speaks of taking in the world through the senses; seeing, tasting, observing and getting in amongst what’s going on. There can be a feeling of knowing one’s destination, having a map or guide, but not always knowing what it is truly like. One feels guided and cocooned on the journey, but there can be feelings of being an observer and, sometimes, of being observed. You could, at times, feel like you’re separate from what’s going on. Pictures and souvenirs of your life (your journey) are likely to be collected. The trick with this degree is to throw your self into life, reach out for all sorts of adventures and, most of all, enjoy the journey!

Observing life. Foreign territories. Seeing how other people live. Timing, being on time. Watching from afar. The untried and untrodden or the same old road. UFOS and aliens.

The Caution: Feelings of naivety and gullibility. Feeling like an alien even in familiar surroundings. Getting out of one’s depth. Separation anxiety. Inability to concentrate.
