Halloween: The Sun In Scorpio On The Reflection And Repair Degrees

It seems that many are going through huge changes, challenges and rather surprising shifts of consciousness at the moment. People have said that this will be a difficult time for many, and I suspect that they are right. We are being pushed into new ways of being, new ways of seeing our lives, new ways of making our mark on the world, indeed, and for many, there’s a need for waking up in a whole new paradigm; a new reality.

It seems, and I have spoken about this myself many times, that we are going through major changes and some, I think in fact many of us, are finding ourselves in emotional, physical or spiritual states that may feel unfamiliar.

These few days currently see a rather large ‘crack’ in reality. Whether we believe in Halloween or not, it is a rather extraordinary time. Halloween is on 31st October for good reason – the Sun travels over several amazing Sabian Symbols during this period each year. This year, we have the added breakthrough in dimensions with the Moon’s north node traveling over the Super Galactic Center of late Virgo/early Libra, giving us another shove in the direction of an ascension in consciousness.

The Sabian Symbol for the Sun is Scorpio 8: THE SILVERY MOON SHINING ACROSS A BEAUTIFUL GEM OF A LAKE

This image is quite an archetypal image for Halloween. One can picture the Moon with bats flying, low hanging wispy clouds and an ethereal feel to it that draws one in. This can be what happens with this degree, although there can also be a sense of seeing things merely on a surface level, not seeing through to the depths of what is really going on, but merely seeing what’s reflected back. Still, this can work wonders as we may find that the universe is reflecting back to us issues that need examination.

This Symbol implies seeing things reflected in the world around us. It can also show someone who loses the plot through not being able to differentiate reality from fiction, intuition from dreaming or what’s theirs from someone else’s emotions, thoughts or reality. Certainly, this speaks of depth in intellect, intuition and emotions. Whether there are hidden depths of not, there may be a strong sense of things being ‘reflected’, as the “Moon” reflects on the “Lake” much like a mirror. What needs reflection? Or less projection? Are things evaluated merely on a superficial level? Are you able to see things for how they really are? Look for the signs you need to observe, and watch how life can be reflected around you.

Reflections. Reactions. Photographs. Picture postcard images. Mirrors. Stillness. Quiet. Projection – especially based on appearances. Psychic abilities. Placid emotions.

The Caution: Acting out. Moodiness. Losing the plot. Relating to others as if in a mirror. Co-dependant relationships. Superficial responses. Narcissism. Afraid of depth.

Indeed, we may have gone deeply recently and now need to look at the surface layers.

Scorpio 7: DEEP-SEA DIVERS WITH SPECIAL MACHINERY

This Symbol implies the ability, or need, to see deep down into the depths of things. The “Special Machinery” allows the “Divers” to pierce the darkness and observe things that others don’t have eyes to see or the intuition to pick up. You may be driven to get deep below the surface to find out what’s going on or to make discoveries about people and life. It is down within the unconscious and your intuitive wisdom that you may need to search for solutions. Breath meditations may help induce the positive, rewarding sides of this Symbol. Plunging into risky situations will prove to be both rewarding and interesting, in some measure. Always remember to breathe.

The Caution: Pretending to plumb the depths. Doing things for show. Escapism. Feeling gloomy. No light, no oxygen. Isolation and dark thoughts. Narrow outlooks. Depression.

The Quest Symbol for the Sun (the Quest Symbol is a degree following a planet or a point) is quite amazing in the light of the fact that the holiday of Halloween in some cultures is very much about eating ‘sweets’. Here, with Scorpio 9, we come to a place where we realise that we have to do some serious work in or on our lives: We have to search out the issues that need sorting out, to put a stop to the rot that has crept into our realities, to find a way to fix whatever needs fixing.

As we’ve come through a time of a rather extraordinary gap in consciousness, perhaps even in time-space realities, and we’ve seen things reflected back at us from the Moon Shining On The Lake of Scorpio 8 and delved into the depths of Scorpio 7 of The Deep Sea Divers, we can see, perhaps after a rather long period of wondering, where and what we need to repair. The Quest Symbol of the Sun is Scorpio 9.

Scorpio 9: A DENTIST IS HARD AT WORK

This Symbol shows the necessity, or the ability, to be able to fix, remedy or repair things, whether it’s teeth, bodies, minds or mechanical objects – anything that needs maintenance or to be repaired. The “Dentist” has to find out what’s wrong in situations, to perform a diagnosis in order to restore the function so they work smoothly and efficiently once again. We must nourish our bodies, minds and spirits, on all levels, but even with healthy habits and healthy minds regular maintenance and repairs are still in order; the “Dentist” needs to repair this sometimes unnecessary damage. e.g. finance, health, stress etc.

Drilling into things. Plugging up situations. Being the responsible one who always has to fix things. Therapists. Treatments. Pain relief. Improving one’s bite. Medical equipment.

The Caution: Getting further into a hole by using more and more social solutions. Causing pollution and damage. Severe pain. Always alert to problems. Not resting.

It appears that this is the perfect time to be connecting with our dreams and visions as the Sun is being exactly trined by Neptune. This can be a very spiritual time, a time of creativity and uplift. The energy of the Sun and Neptune being in this wonderfully supportive, creative and spiritual aspect, lasts for about three or four days around Halloween.

Neptune is on Pisces 8: A GIRL BLOWING A BUGLE

This shows sounding the call, rallying people together, knowing when to speak or “Blow a Bugle” to awaken others, to wake up to realities going on in the world, join some cause, etc. Perhaps you feel the need to wake up those around you, or, perhaps be woken yourself. When situations get bogged down in emotional or rational complexity and everyone just needs to be rallying and going for the objective, you may be the one to let everyone know. Sometimes this Symbol can show someone who makes a lot of noise; justified or unjustified and they can get people moving. Using simple, receptive innocence will get situations back on track.

Sounding the call. Awakening all to action. Loudspeakers, telephones, announcements. Rise and shine! Leading the charge. Resurrection. Proclamations. Whistleblowers.

The Caution: Unwarranted and disturbing noise. Showing off. Trumpeting about oneself. Not listening to people. Being annoying. Interrupting. Betraying confidences. Loud voices.

Things will come up now, come into the light of consciousness, or, push us to realise realities, even if some come as a complete surprise or shock.

What is ‘erupting’ now?

This Situation implies situations, attitudes or emotions that slowly gather steam, build up and suddenly explode. It pictures situations of catharsis. There may be, at times, an effort to hold things inside, but after a while there can be no more resistance and everything gets forced out. This can be in the form of anger, or passion, but it can also be the explosion of insight and creative ideas. It often works far better to just let things blow, as resisting the urge to let go can cause enormous pressure to build up. Look to see if the force of emotions is really related to current situations.

Jupiter is opposite Chiron and will be for several days. It seems that Chiron is asking us to examine and realise where and how we can listen to our own inner authority. We may seek the guidance of those who are perhaps ‘qualified’ to give us guidance, and this can be of great help, however, one needs to consider what is there to nourish, guide and help us to heal, and, what might just be leading us astray. In the end, we need to connect in with our own guidance system.

This shows hearing or delivering important messages, decrees or rules for living, making sense of spiritual instruction, seeing who’s an authority worth listening to and who’s not. Seeing through false intentions or messages could be one of your objectives now. You may need to organize and stage a display to promote, teach or disseminate, bringing a feeling of community in a common goal. With the power to influence or sway groups of people, there needs to be a feeling of moderation and the ability to listen as well as speak. This can, however, picture situations of hysteria or overstating one’s case. Is the audience listening? Is the cause just?

Energy and inspiration. Having a lot to say. Evangelism. Whipped up emotions. Media circus. Instructional or dogmatic. Ecstasy. Loud voices. Mind control. Performing. Showmanship.

The Caution: Greedy spiritualism. Big egos. Charlatans. Overblown feelings of abilities. Manipulation or exploitation. Controlling others. Bigotry. Getting worked up. Lies.

So, this is a time for observing what comes up, learning from it and making the necessary repairs to get things working smoothly again. It can help to ask the question at Halloween – what are you digesting? – I mean this on any level; physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually.
