The Sun And Mercury On The Military Brass Band While We Contemplate Our Domain

The Sun and Mercury are conjunct on Scorpio 27: A MILITARY BAND MARCHES NOISILY ON THROUGH THE CITY STREETS

This Symbol shows the need for occasionally making a show for society to remind ourselves of our successes and achievements, whether they are collective or personal achievements. The “Military Band” can make an enormous amount of noise as it “Marches Noisily”, but sometimes we need to be woken or reminded of the cohesion that a military band can show. Likewise, this can show someone that likes to bang their own drum or to make a big noise about themselves or for the establishment. As long as the audience is ok with this display, one can contain the reaction from others.

Sometimes, though, people get annoyed by people banging their drums a little too loudly. Noisy announcements. Making music to rouse people from complacency. Demanding attention. Trumpeting one’s agenda. Marching in time. The blast of the media. Drums.

The Caution: A lot of volume that’s too pompous. The message getting lost in the noise and fanfare. Demanding to be heard. Propaganda. Threats to peace. Banging on.

What’s going on militarily all over the world can be confronting and tiring. We who just want peace may find our voices drowned out by those who prefer to wage war, to argue, to shout others down. Images of “my drum is bigger than yours” crowd my mind when I contemplate this Symbol.

I’m seeing that many don’t feel like contributing to the ‘noise’. Some people, especially those who are very sensitive, are feeling the need to withdraw, to sit back and watch rather than contribute to the noise or static.

Mercury is moving onto Scorpio 28 very soon, as will the Sun in the next 20 or so hours.

Scorpio 28: THE KING OF THE FAIRIES APPROACHING THEIR DOMAIN

This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to feel at ease and in charge of your home, territory or domain. You may have been searching for where you belong or where your “Domain” is. Although you may at times be off looking for this, feeling alien and alone won’t work; there’s a need to feel accepted, welcomed and loved. There may be the feeling of wanting to be a dominant leader or having a doting populace. As long as egos are in control, this can be a fabulous experience of ‘returning home’, a nice, and calm and spiritual place to be. Also, this degree can show a world of one’s own creation or imagination – which can be fabulously rewarding although it can also be rather ungrounded in reality.

Imaginary worlds. Finding a place to fit in and feel comfortable. Feeling in charge and in demand. Returning home. Taking command of your life. Fairies, nature spirits. Elves.

The Caution: An imaginary world. Dependence on trickery. Someone acting like a ‘hot shot’. Lording it over people. Being impotent. Feeling locked out. Homelessness.

For the next several hours there is likely to be a rather strong disconnect happening as the Moon is in Aquarius. When it moves into Pisces, we may find ourselves looking for more security, more love, more connection. At the same time, we are likely to be even more sensitive.

How do we arrive ‘home’? Is it a place or a state of mind?
