Sometimes you’ve got to let everything go—purge yourself. If you are unhappy with anything . . . whatever is bringing you down, get rid of it. Because you’ll find that when you’re free, your true creativity, your true self comes out. Tina Turner

It has been my experience that folks who have no vices have very few virtues. Abraham Lincoln

A priest is a man who is called Father by everyone except his own children who are obliged to call him Uncle. Italian Proverb

Whoever undertakes to set himself up as a judge in the field of truth and knowledge is shipwrecked by the laughter of the Gods. Albert Einstein

The heresies we should fear are those which can be confused with orthodoxy. Jorge Luis Borges

Faith is not a thing which one “loses,” we merely cease to shape our lives by it. Georges Bernanos

He that serves at the altar ought to live by the altar. Romanian Proverb

We are in a major period of change and ‘purging’ things from our lives that don’t measure up. Anything that is now useless, outworn, self-defeating, a waste of space, etc, can go now, as this is a time of moving on, moving out, claiming more and more of our rightful use of our personal power. This can also be a time of deep forgiveness, even if it means foregoing memories that merely serve to cloud and don’t further us. With Chiron so fully involved with the illumination and focus of energy of the full Moon, we are being asked to examine, and, change where necessary, The Stories That We Tell Ourselves so we can move into a bright, new, story, unencumbered by the past, bringing a healing to those things that may even have felt like ‘wounds’ that would stay with us forever.

Issues to do with personal authority are in the spotlight now; we are being asked to examine where we might be holding ourselves back, especially if we don’t see a place for ourselves that reflects a sense of ‘being in charge’ of our own life, realities, reactions, etc, and, also, where we may find ourselves understanding how we may be bearing the expectations of others who hold sway over us in one way or another.

Forgiveness can be a big part of what’s going on now, too. Whether we need to forgive others, or, remove a sense of guilt over something we have or haven’t done, concentrating on forgiving and letting go can create wonders and allow a space for better, more rewarding and fulfilling realities to come in.

Gratitude plays a big role in this, too. We may be grateful for the good advice, guidance, assistance, learning, etc, that we have received. Gratitude can move mountains when we truly feel it from the heart. Forgiveness and gratitude are key –

The Sun, Chiron and Pallas Athena are all on Pisces 25 – the following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom

Pisces 25: THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD

Commentary: ‘The Purging of the Priesthood’ is an image of people having to measure up to spiritual or moral values. Whoever upholds a position in the ‘Priesthood’ should act in an appropriate manner and minister to the needs of people without any ulterior motives. When people don’t live up to their duties or the expectations of others, it often leads to someone having to leave, retire, resign or be ejected. ‘Purging’ means to get rid of and it can lead to scapegoats: those that are thrown into the desert, abandoned and forgotten.

Oracle: Periodically, there is a need to cleanse and purify motives, leading to a better representation of moral and spiritual values. Sometimes we need to reexamine moral and spiritual sincerity in a person, corporation, community or situation. Getting rid of people or ideals that hold one back can open up situations to more trust, sharing and enjoyment. You may have to dismiss someone, or a group of people, from their duties or from their ability to affect your life in some way. It is easy to lose sight of the ideal through the use of the rationalizing mind, the ego, security issues or emotive passion. However, if someone has not lived up to their responsibilities on some level, often it’s best for the future, and one’s peace of mind, to be free of them. It may lead to a breakthrough in the understanding of where they’ve gone “off the rails”, as well. Sometimes there’s a need to get clearly out of the reach of people’s “influence”. People who hold ‘Priestly’ attitudes often have quite a lot of power and hold on others. People will often give them power, thereby forsaking their own powers in the process. What side of this ‘Purging’ are you on? Are you the one with the “right” motives? There could be a fear of rejection at work. Whatever your situation, stating your truth and staying with it is the best option.

Keywords: Revealing the truth of people for who and what they truly are. Cutting people off. Throwing out things that don’t measure up. Forced retirement and redundancies. Payouts at the end of employment. Dismissals. Opting out for moral reasons. Being fired. Holes left where someone took up a lot of space.

The Caution: Stressful battle over who’s in charge. Blackmail. The threat of being thrown out. Something being revealed. Evicting people because they deceive, lie or mislead or just because they’re not liked. Bringing somebody down. Scapegoating others. Corruption and scandal that threaten collapse. Wanting to appear to be doing the right thing. Coverups. The burning of books. Perversion.

So, moving on is on the agenda, big time.

The Quest Degree of the Sun, Chiron and Pallas is Pisces 26: A NEW MOON REVEALS THAT IT’S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS

We must change in order to survive. Pearl Bailey

A person needs at intervals to separate himself from family and companions and go to new places. He must go without his familiars in order to be open to influences, to change. Katharine Butler Hathaway

There’s an image here of the emergence of new possibilities and new horizons. This Symbol can imply a moving away from or a splitting up of people, however this may not always be the case. There could be a call for a couple to split off from the rest of the family, or somebody might need some space to be alone or get on with something they want or need to do. Hence it doesn’t always mean a split or separation, although it certainly can. People have their own responses to situations, so it is important not to expect everyone to react in the same way when something unexpected, or new, comes up. Periodically, there is a need to let things go from the past. Relationships, jobs, friendships; in fact any situation at all might be coming to completion, or needing a break for a while. There can be the feeling of a dividing wall coming up between you and others. This situation may have been brewing for some time and now the consequences of it are coming to light. However, if people are given their own measure of freedom, they may come back together when the time and the energy is right. Perhaps it’s a good idea to direct some energy into a new project at the time of the next ‘New Moon’. Light a candle and state your intentions with honesty and feel the effects of the rewards that can come flooding in with this new beginning. Remember to honor “the other”, the other person who may have their own ‘Project’ or path to follow.

Keywords: Diversifying. Applying talents in a different direction. People splitting up and splitting off. New opportunities and potentials. The beginning of a new age. Letting go of the old and outworn. Separations. Embracing one’s future without the need for others. Coming to a fork in the road. Divorces. New jobs, directions and destinies. The dawning of a new era.

The Caution: Not giving, or receiving emotional support. Feeling split off and alone, even when one is with others. The fear and loathing of possible separation. Overthrowing the old too quickly. Changing direction unexpectedly. The fear of old age. Relationships that fail again and again.

Venus is key to this as it is retrograde on a degree that asks us to delve into our sense of personal authority; to claim our self-reliance (perhaps yet again), and, it can have us making affirmations around issues that we need to take control of.

What government is the best? That which teaches us to govern ourselves. Goethe

Venus is retrograde on Aries 11: THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC OR THE RULER OF ONE’S COUNTRY

Commentary: ‘The President’ or the ‘Ruler’ pictures a person who’s in control, has a sense of authority and is called upon to do the right thing for his people, his ‘Country’ and indeed, his position or office. This ‘President’ or ‘Ruler’ has the right, and the duty, to call the shots in their territory or sphere of operation.

Oracle: This Symbol says that it’s time to take charge, and to expand your base of operations. There may be a need to take control and command respect from others by showing that you have the confidence to make your own decisions. This is your opportunity to prove that you have the integrity and the necessary energy to get things done. It’s also a great time to bring a sense of order and discipline into your life – physically, spiritually or emotionally. It is important to grasp the boundaries of your influence and power as this will lead to a strong and renewed sense of self. Who’s in charge of operations in this situation—is it you or another? What can you do to strengthen your position and show that you can be relied upon to get the job done? If someone is trying to take your sense of individuality and power away through being bossy and in control, what can be done to reclaim your authority? Giving your power away to someone can lead to being taken advantage of in many ways. The undermining of one’s authority can lead to a loss of position and self-respect. Stay in a relationship only if it gives you a good sense of yourself. Whoever is involved in this situation should wield their power in a careful and thoughtful way. There may be a need to accept people’s recognition of you as a person in control of your own life and destiny. Doing this with dignity can lead to a whole new sense of self, position and personal power.

Keywords: Developing willpower. Inner power, discipline and integrity. Discipline of thoughts, emotions and actions. Leadership, power and ability along with their responsibilities. Accepting responsibility for one’s actions. “Calling the shots”. Rulers, presidents, leaders. Taking charge. The need for loyal subjects. Being voted in. The democratic process.

The Caution: Taking control. Lording it over everyone. Being overbearing. Not allowing others to be in charge of their own lives, health or situation. Egotistical and self-centered. Undermining others through a lack of self-awareness or confidence. Being larger than life. Dictators and tyrants. Military Governments.

Venus soon moves retrograde back onto Aries 10: A TEACHER GIVES NEW SYMBOLIC FORMS TO TRADITIONAL IMAGES – time to rewrite the book? We have to do it in our own way, with our own stamp of individuality on it.

Keywords: New dimensions breaking old thought forms or behavior. Quantum science. Innovation and re-creation. Working with educational tools. Finding new inspiration. Being “ahead of one’s time”. New-age consciousness. Ideas out of the past for the future. Sticking one’s neck out. Rewriting the book.

The Caution: Rejecting old ideas because they are old instead of reforming them. Throwing things of worth out, without examining them. Having little respect for things that are really worthwhile or traditional. Sticking with the tried and true, no matter what. Thinking that no one will be interested in your ideas. Heresy. Dogma.

Mercury is showing a way for us to align with what is meant for us, how we fit into the bigger picture, how we ‘define’ ourselves.

Mercury is on Aries 3: A CAMEO SHOWS THE PROFILE OF A MAN THAT SUGGESTS THE OUTLINE OF HIS COUNTRY

Commentary: ‘A Cameo Profile’ is a simple yet strong definition of an individual’s character, shape, loyalties and role in life. The ‘Cameo’ suggests the appearance of a growing objective awareness of how someone fits into the larger picture. You may find that you, or someone else, have a more important role than was previously thought; or that you are imprinting your mark; or possibly becoming a model of one’s tradition, culture, thoughts or ideas.

Oracle: There’s often a need to feel included or involved in the larger picture in order to feel “whole” or accepted. Taking the time to examine your place in society can bring about insights into just what the big picture is for you. Understanding and expanding your true place in the scheme of things can lead to actually having a much larger ‘Profile’. This could be on any level, emotional, physical, mental or spiritual. The ‘Country’ that this Symbol implies may not have national boundaries. There is the spiritual “country”, the ideological “country”, even past life “countries”. There are some people who find their roots in a mixture of these places, or realities, and don’t actually feel a belonging to their actual “homeland”. The sense of having a place is often deep-seated and truly found in the individual’s belonging to the essential self. How do you, and others, fit into this situation? Does your ‘Profile’ define you in a different way from what you’d like, or are you happy with the outline of your image? Picture who you want to be or what you want out of life. Using a pen and paper, draw your ‘Cameo’ or just picture what the outline of your ‘Country’ should be, as it could be an interesting exercise. We are what we believe we are. What face are you showing to the world?

Keywords: Observing one’s limitations. Living a life that is large. Atlases and maps. Standing by one’s self. Allegiances with creed, religion, race or country. Nationhood. Brotherhood. The land. People in uniforms of any kind. The face of fighters who fought ‘the good fight’. Borders and limitations to activity. Identification. Expatriates.

The Caution: Stereotyping one’s self or others. Blindly following the dogma of parents, government or officials. Not seeing the true essence of one’s self. Expecting to fit into some “shape” or model. Becoming identified with externals. Seeking recognition from others.

There’s so much more to say about the current astrological energies – there’s Jupiter and Uranus opposing each other, bringing a desire for more freedom, more authenticity, more movement, and a lot more. We can be woken up by this energy, and, we can have lightning flashes of inspiration. Pluto is in the mix, too, so, we have a situation that, most briefly says, transform now (it’s a kind of avoid-the-rush type of thing).

We also have Saturn on the Galactic Center… smack on it. What are our hopes and dreams for the future? How are we building our lives? How can we be ‘a bridge’ for the betterment of life, the universe, everything ? :)

Saturn is on Sagittarius 28: A SPLENDIDLY BUILT BRIDGE, A HERITAGE OF UNKNOWN AGES, STILL SPANS THE BEAUTIFUL AND WILDLY PRIMITIVE STREAM – what ‘bridges’ are you building? What ones need to be left behind?
