The Libra full Moon occurs on March 31. It is the second full Moon in March, and, many call it a ‘blue moon’. I don’t see any significance to this fact as it doesn’t actually affect anything, but, well, it can give it a kind of ‘special’ atmosphere, even if it doesn’t really mean anything. Regardless of that, this full Moon is a really strong and ‘meaty’ one, what with the Mars/Saturn conjunction forming a rather strong t-square to the full Moon. This can bring about feelings of frustration, the pressures of duty, the sense that all hell might break loose if you’re not ‘good’, ‘strong’ or on time.

So, with Mars and Saturn conjunct (together) in Capricorn, t-squaring this full Moon, we may feel that we need to let go of things from the past. Whether it’s grudges, memories, disappointments, possessions, relationships, old clothes, photographs, triggers, etc, we would do well to lighten our loads at this time as it will allow space for more lightness of being, freedom to move, etc. And, we may feel that we’re aging, getting older, falling apart, or just generally disintegrating in some fashion. This is a heads up that *some* of that disintegration is useful, it is something we both need and want.

Another aspect of this aspect is that we may want to get more ‘straight’ about our lives – more organized, more productive, more on-time, perhaps. And, if we put in the energy to get things up and going, we are likely to get rewards coming to us for our efforts. One of the tricks is not to overreact to any possible road blocks, irritations or tests that may spring up.

Adding to the level of frustration at this full Moon is the fact that Mercury is retrograde. This can find us pushing against the grain, and, it can have us feeling more alert to things going wrong than things going the right way. The trick with this Mercury retrograde period seems to be one of making sure we look after those things that need looking after, while jettisoning those things that just aren’t worth the effort anymore. We will do well if we (perhaps silently) ask the energies around us, our nature spirits and angels, to turn up and help us out. It can be quite astounding how much we can achieve if we put our minds to it during this period, but, we have to be focused, and, stay positive, otherwise there might be rather too much rubble around us to even begin to clear up.

Further, Mercury is conjunct the Sun, opposite the Moon, AND, it is squaring Saturn and Mars, and, Mercury is in Aries. This is quite the prescription for frustration, anger, hold-ups and the feeling of wanting to explode. Indeed, the Sabian Symbol for Mercury talks about the need for ‘defusing’ situations – taking the charge out of things before they blow up, leak out or build into something monumental.

Also adding to the level of frustration is Uranus on Aries 28: A LARGE DISAPPOINTED AUDIENCE. And, right before the full Moon, we have Venus conjunct Uranus on this degree of ‘disappointment’. Still, this full Moon heralds Venus’ passage into Taurus, a much better placement for the Goddess, and, hopefully, Venus in Taurus will help us to ‘ground’ the energies that need grounding.

Adding to all of this is the Moon’s north node on Leo 14: CHERUB-LIKE, A HUMAN SOUL WHISPERS INTO EVERY RECEPTIVE EAR, SEEKING TO MANIFEST. This Symbol, as with all the Symbols, can mean many things, but, in amongst it is the difficulty we have in believing what we hear, what we take in as ‘news’, what we see and contribute to on social media, especially Facebook with it’s recent issues of sharing data. It seems that the message of the nodes is to take what we hear (and, even see these days as video can be faked), and, really filter it through our senses to see how reliable it is. The Moon’s south node speaks of going at things in a straight line, (A TRAIN ENTERING A TUNNEL) sometimes without thinking, often without really filtering through those bits of information to see whether they stand the test… of course, this Symbol doesn’t always imply that, it’s just that being the south node, we will do well at the moment to take a moment to do that processing before moving forward, to really ‘listen’ with all our senses to what is before us.

The Sabian Symbol for this full Moon can bring up issues to do with privacy and personal information and social media, etc. The Symbol is Libra 11: A PROFESSOR PEERING OVER HIS GLASSES AT HIS STUDENTS. This can speak about feeling ‘observed’, or, being judged, or, indeed, it can bring up issues of feeling as though we are not seeing others for who they truly are, but, are seeing them through a somewhat distorted ‘lens’ of perception that is filtered by our own thoughts, feelings, prejudices, etc. This Symbol seems to be saying that we need to stop judging others (easy to say, hard to do) who have different thoughts, perhaps levels of education, political persuasions, etc. We should, perhaps, look at others as having the right to have their beliefs and ideas and political ideology.

It is interesting to note the degree of the Sun – Aries 11: THE PRESIDENT OF THE REPUBLIC, OR, THE RULER OF ONE’S COUNTRY. Of course, this speaks as much about managing our own lives as it does about any literal ‘president’ or ‘prime minister’, etc. The Sun on this degree is asking us to take charge, be aware of what we’re doing and where we’re going in life, to be responsible, and, on task for the things we need to do.

What an interesting time! Happy Easter and Passover to those who celebrate, and, a happy holiday weekend for all.

There’s always more to say, but, you can find some added information by looking at the Sabian Symbol placements below.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased – it’s like we can see in the dark – and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it’s lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there’s magic unleashed with every full Moon.

The full Moon is on Libra 11: A PROFESSOR PEERING OVER HIS GLASSES AT HIS STUDENTS The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom – the following is my interpretation from my book –

Commentary: A ‘Professor’ is ‘Peering Over His Glasses at His Students’. His eyes have been strained over the years from doing close-up work with books and papers and now he needs ‘Glasses’ for reading and studying. The rational mind requires a different kind of “lens” to that of the emotion or intuition. When the ‘Professor’ moves his gaze or attention to ‘His Students’, he needs to use a different focus. He ‘Peers Over His Glasses’ to look at them and to see them as they truly are. If he observes them through the same intellectual “lenses” he uses for his study, he may neglect to see them as individuals with their own abilities and needs, and their human attributes will get lost in the process.

Oracle: You may need to interrupt your rational, linear, skeptical concentration to realize that people, together with your intuitive ideas, are all around you, and they are valuable assets of your life and development. Are you, or is someone else, really looking at things with the right ‘Glasses’? Do you have “old eyes” or “new eyes” to see? Is there a projection of something, a thought or an attitude, onto others in this situation that isn’t really appropriate or doesn’t really belong to them? Someone is, or needs to, notice what’s going on, or take a minute to observe people in their true light. There may be a need to remember that being “clever” or “intellectual” does not mean that someone is better or above everyone else. Although, of course, being in a position of some kind of authority can lend weight when there’s a need for giving kindly advice. There may be an issue of telling people what to do and how they should act. Are you the ‘Professor’ or are you a ‘Student’? Regardless of which one you are, keeping in mind that people are to be viewed kindly, seriously, and with respect, will help.

Keywords: Lenses of perception. Seeing that others get the message. Intellectual snobbery. Photography. Lenses as shields or barriers between people or things. Observing others. Examining one’s self. Understanding where you’re looking. Giving advice. Teachers. Professors. The ability to “read others”. Motivations or talents of others seen and appreciated.

The Caution: Assuming a superior position. Thinking others have a lesser position or intelligence. Reading endless self-help books and not noticing real life. Bossing others. Not seeing, or caring to notice, one’s own faults and limitations. Feeling separate from what’s being said or taught. Distortions of perception or observation. Condescending behavior. Seeing people as interruptions.

The Karmic Degree for the Moon is Libra 10: A CANOE IS APPROACHING SAFETY THROUGH DANGEROUS WATERS

This Symbol speaks of getting through difficult times in life and coming out the other side. It also infers being able to bring calm reassurance that a time of calm is approaching. The difficulties may have been arduous, but they’ve added to your experience to cope with any difficult times that are yet to come. The calm is a time to review what has past and how you’ve come through difficult straits. Realizing that you’re on safe ground brings a sense of relief, and it will give you time to catch your breath. You may be the kind to go white water rafting in order to stir up your life somewhat; if there’s nothing whipping up around you, you may go looking for it.

Keywords: The calm after the storm. Navigating difficult straits and coming out okay. White water rafting. Skydiving and other risky activities. Rough waters vs. plain sailing. Recovery. Remission. Light at the end of the tunnel. Personal initiations. Trials of test and defeat. Being stoic. Retaining dignity and graciousness. Exercising care and restraint. Avoiding over exaggerated enthusiasm. Deliverance on many levels. Salvation. Staying on track.

The Quest Degree for the Moon is Libra 12: MINERS ARE EMERGING FROM A DEEP COAL MINE

This Symbol shows the need to delve deep within your self or into a subject to find answers. There is often a challenge in being able to go deeply enough to come up with what’s really sought. But it is not enough to just find the message, you need to bring what you’ve learnt into the light of day so that you can benefit from this passage and breathe more freely. It’s time to stop operating in the dark, to come to the surface and stop working so hard. There are rewards, however, from the passage into the depths; you can bring up jewels that otherwise would have remained underground, or undiscovered, or not revealed to the light.

Keywords: Release from arduous labor. Stopping work. Coming into the light. Deep subconscious healing. Hypnotherapy. Going into dark places. Claustrophobia. Memories from the past or out of nowhere. It’s also about bringing a sense of order and discipline into your life – physically, spiritually or emotionally. The Karmic Degree for the Sun is Aries 10: A TEACHER GIVES NEW SYMBOLIC FORMS TO TRADITIONAL IMAGES

This Symbol implies that you have ideas or a message to spread, but you may be holding back because you think it has been done before – however, things done by you will have your personal stamp on them and they are best done your own way. Bring out something fresh and new and it will also revitalize those around you. Looking at things in a different light, you’ll revision old thought forms with new ones. Try to find new solutions to old ideas – you could revolutionize something. Be prepared to take a different stance or look at things from a new and fresh perspective. Don’t stick to limitations, either your own or those others place on you.

The Quest Degree for the Sun is Aries 12: A FLOCK OF WILD GEESE

Take your cue from the wild geese. When they fly in formation, they take turns in leading the way; when one gets tired or sick, another takes the lead. Spread your wings and seek freedom, taking note of ‘seasonal’ variations around you. Just remember to be mindful of your responsibilities to both yourself and others. Be a part of the group by contributing and promoting the joys of togetherness while keeping a sense of independence. Geese are known for forming lifelong partnerships, so marriage or partnership may indeed be a consideration in this situation.

Keywords: Aquarian ideals of brotherhood. Attunement to planetary rhythms. Spirit liberated from matter. Wanting to take off by one’s self, but not being able to. Focused group activity and support. Group mentality, action and agreement. Intuition and telepathy. Choreography. Camaraderie. “Honking” to egg each other on. Flying in the slipstream. Responses to seasonal changes. Migrating at the right times. Travelling. Herds, gangs. broods. Flying in formation.

Mercury is retrograde on Aries 13: A BOMB WHICH FAILED TO EXPLODE IS NOW SAFELY HIDDEN FROM DISCOVERY – Mercury was on this degree when the packages that were really bombs were happening in Austin, Texas. This Symbol, though, of course, can talk about nuclear explosions all the way to the feeling of having to sublimate your emotions in case they fire up and cause problems (of any kind, emotional, psychological, literal, etc).

This Symbol shows that explosive elements need discharging. Pressure cooker energy needs to be released, but it often needs to be done slowly and carefully. By keeping a sense of control, one can handle wild situations, elements or people without things getting out of hand. Be an example to others of how calmness and quiet can take the charge out of things. Take whatever opportunities you can to defuse elements as an explosion often damages more than is expected. You may have to hide something away so things don’t get crazy, but with some careful thought, all should be well.

Keywords: Pressure valves. Getting away with something. Tantrums and frustration. Tempers that simmer. Explosive behavior. Bombs, explosions. Sudden and forceful events. Intelligence organizations, CIA, FBI, ASIO, etc. Valuable lessons of self-restraint. Relief from problems. Discharging nervous energy. Security checks. Last minute escapes. The Karmic Degree for Venus is Aries 30: A DUCK POND AND ITS YOUNG BROOD

This Symbol speaks of families, being with and caring for youngsters, and caring for each other. Sometimes, there can be a feeling of being restricted and bound in by reality, but then there’s often also a feeling of being safe. Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of the comforting things around us. Finding friends or family that enrich our life can lead to a sense of community, belonging and love. Although you may sometimes wish for more exciting adventures – it feels good to have a place to hang one’s hat and people and a place to call one’s own.

Finding friends or family that enrich one’s life. Psychoanalysis. Family patterns and analysis. Family support. The family sphere. Feeling safe in one’s environs. Being the mother duck. Feeling left out and alone. Smugness or exclusivity. All looking the same and no one standing out as individuals. Being lost in the crowd. Distrusting those that are “alien”. Borders erected to keep out “foreigners”.

The Quest Degree for Venus is Taurus 2: AN ELECTRICAL STORM ILLUMINATES THE HEAVENS AND THE FORESTS

This Symbol implies storms, electrical flashes and brilliance. Storms unleash all kinds of energy; there is tension and a breaking point imminent, but the cleansing deluge is held back while the power of the situation seems to take control. You may feel like you have no influence over what is being unleashed. If you can keep a cool head, the energy will dissipate and you will regain control. Brilliant flashes of insight and intuition can come with this energy and things can happen suddenly and sometimes unpredictably.

Mars is on Capricorn 8: BIRDS IN THE HOUSE SINGING HAPPILY

This degree shows the spreading of joy, happiness and laughter to those around you. It also shows that music can lighten people’s spirits. Further, thinking positive thoughts, being loving and accepting of others are the hallmarks of this degree. Listening to the songs of birds can be rather magical and can bring spiritual messages. By expressing your pleasure you can lift the feelings of others and they will most likely join in the chorus, in some way. Even though there are a number of social rules to follow, that shouldn’t bother you. This is a sign of sharing good feelings and happiness with all who enter your sphere of operations.

Keywords: Being at one with everything. Tunes sung or whistled. The promise of contentment. Communal sharing and fun. Faith in the good things of life. Music. Instruments. Playing the piano. Singing. The radio. Chattering in the background. Entertaining others. Seeing the beauty in life. Reminding others of how life can be rewarding. The sound of voices. Birds. Positive thinking.

The Karmic Degree for Mars is Capricorn 7: A VEILED PROPHET SPEAKS, SEIZED BY THE POWER OF A GOD

This degree implies disseminating information or knowledge; there are messages and they are coming from a deep source, or, from a place of authority. Still, it can be difficult to know whether it’s always the truth that is being spoken or that’s coming through. Look carefully for the signs – is it truth that you are being fed? With such power in one’s words, we have to be careful about what we say as well as what we hear. This energy can be used for the good of all involved, or it can just lead people astray. Something to watch out for is blind acceptance of things you see or hear. This is a very powerful degree.

Keywords: Hypnotherapy or hypnotic suggestion. Manipulation of lesser beings. Having insights that transport to other levels. Channelling and mediumship. Translations. Prophets and bringers of messages. Empowerment. Messages erupting. Speaking. Announcing. Bearing important news. Power. Charisma. Veils. Background voices.

The Quest Degree for Mars is Capricorn 9: AN ANGEL COMES CARRYING A HARP

This degree shows being able to care for others – being there when they need it. It also shows that “Angels” will come when you call on them, when you’re most in need yourself. You may be able to ‘tune in’ and radiate harmony around you, inspiring confidence and joy. This pictures care, generosity and a fulfilled selfhood. Inspiring people to do their best can bring rewards to all concerned. The trick with this degree can be sorting out whether to trust the ‘tune’ that others sometimes play. Following someone for the wrong reasons can just lead you astray.

Keywords: Demons driven away by music. Lifting faith and hope. Messages of peace from the other side. Having a message to spin. Being in tune, spiritually. Having an elevated view of humanity. Creating harmony. Blowing the whistle. Advertising. Salvation that arrives when most needed. Harmonics. Music and musical instruments. Visitations of spirit. Messages of love and hope arriving.  Jupiter is retrograde on Scorpio 23: A RABBIT METAMORPHOSED INTO A FAIRY (NATURE SPIRIT)

This Symbol shows ascension or evolution to higher states of being. You may find yourself having a transformative realization that will take your focus away from the baser, animal instincts, to a more evolved, higher spiritual perception. This can lead to having higher codes of living; operating on elevated planes of being. Coming to terms with one’s vital energies can free you up to find a higher state of being. This can feel like a “Metamorphosis” – like you’re morphing into someone different, perhaps someone quite unique from others. Ascension in consciousness is likely to be happening – enjoy the ride!

Keywords: Revelation of hidden talents. Vegetarianism. Changing one’s lifestyle completely. Rapid and total transformation. Morphing. Giving up merely battling for survival. Ascension of consciousness. Elementals. Evolution. Moving into a new level of being. Raising one’s vibration. Complete changes. Psychic attunement. Losing one’s sexual charge. Losing one’s drive or libido. Feeling alone and misunderstood. Dumbed-down energies. Neglecting body in favor of spirit or emotion.

The Karmic Degree for Jupiter is Scorpio 22: HUNTERS PROTECTED BY HEAVY CLOTHING ARE SHOOTING WILD DUCKS

This Symbol implies the need for protection of those innocent or younger, smaller, or not able to protect themselves. Being an advocate for others, you can shield them from the more harmful elements of society. You may, at times, feel that you are the one that needs to be protected or given shelter or in need of people declaring a ceasefire and amnesty so people can come out into the open and not be afraid to show their true selves. Of course, there is a need for an outlet for aggressive emotions every now and then. Doing so in groups gives this outlet, such as “Shooting Wild Ducks” some sense of acceptability. However, picking on the undefended or smaller is not right, no matter what the terms.

Keywords: Satiating one’s aggressive desires. Being able to hit the mark. Putting up with violence in one’s life, whether physical, mental, spiritual or emotional. Road, and other, types of rage. The armed services and their responsibilities. War. Terrorism in its many forms. Camouflage. Being an armed force. Armaments.

The Quest Degree for Jupiter is Scorpio 24: CROWDS COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN TO LISTEN TO ONE INSPIRED PERSON

This implies having a message or the voice that others flock to in order to listen. Whether you are the “One Inspired Person”, or someone in the audience, you may feel that you have had some wonderful realizations after hearing inspired messages, from within yourself or from an external source, and now you need to bring these lessons or understandings down to an everyday level in order to integrate them into everyday life. People will have different responses to the messages given. Not all will be responsive, but the message will resonate with those that are meant to hear it. What will be done with this information and how far will it spread?

Keywords: Power to sway the feelings and thoughts of many. The ability to draw a large audience. The Jesus story. Giving one’s power away to those who apparently have more authority. Charisma. Having a large audience. The minds and the ears of the many. Oratory skills. Gurus. Listening. Ascending the mountain to acheive a purer state of being. Lecturing.

The Caution: Naiveté, gullibility. Feeling like someone else holds all the answers, but you don’t. Situations that smack of guru mentality. Idolatry and the manipulation that can result from it. Never knowing when to keep quiet. Forcing ideas on others when they don’t really want to listen. Not letting anyone else get a word in. Demanding attention. Feeling above everyone. Snobbery.

Creating harmony. Blowing the whistle. Advertising. Salvation that arrives when most needed. Harmonics. Music and musical instruments. Visitations of spirit. Messages of love and hope arriving. The Caution: Having a holier-than-thou attitude. Losing oneself in fantasy. Promising more than can be delivered. “Melodies” that deceive or lead astray. ‘Harping’ on things (dwelling on issues). Messages that deceive or lead astray. Playing a tune and expecting all to follow.
