October’s full Moon in Taurus occurs on October 24 in the US, and, October 25 in Australia. I realise that we’ve had some very dramatic lunations for some years now, but, and I don’t say this lightly, this is the most challenging, jarring, confronting, and, definitely somewhat freeing and releasing full Moon that I have ever seen. No kidding.

There are several reasons for me to say this, not the least being the emphasis on 1+ fixed signs at this full Moon. As many of you probably realise, I look at the grand crosses of the degrees as they hold incredible insights into how each of the degrees work (the degrees don’t ‘work’ alone, the oppositions and squares to degrees add meaning and flavour). So, the following is the grand cross that this full Moon, and, the Moon’s nodes, and Uranus, are occupying now… (= 1+ in the zodiac)

Taurus 2: AN ELECTRICAL STORM ILLUMINATES THE HEAVENS AND THE FORESTS

Leo 2: AN EPIDEMIC OF MUMPS

Scorpio 2: A BROKEN BOTTLE AND SPILLED PERFUME

Aquarius 2: AN UNEXPECTED THUNDERSTORM

There is nothing ‘minor’ about any of these Symbols, but, when we have all four being ‘hit off’ by planetary and nodal activity, we have a huge, well, explosion, bonfire, eruption of energies, surprising events and outcomes, etc. This is a real doozy of a grand square, and, it has Uranus and Venus along for the ride. All those ‘storms’ can be jarring, especially with Uranus involved, but, we can also feel a clearing of the air, as if something has come through and changed many things. Perhaps changed everything. It’s going to be very interesting to watch what happens.

Venus, of course, is now retrograde (for forty days and forty nights, as the saying goes), and, it is on a degree that I often associate with ‘mourning’, or, a need to move on, to grieve, to let go of the past, to let go of feeling battered, forced into a corner, or, not allowing the ‘same ol’ same ol’ to keep happening. Venus is on a degree that can have us feeling somewhat ‘stuck’, but, as it’s retrograde, I sense that a lot of the old guard, the old ways of doing things are set to change. We might feel as though we are really over feeling as if our backs are against the wall, and, we might want to take a leap of faith into the unknown. Exactly how things will pan out is, obviously, unknown, but, I sense that things are set to change, even if only in the way that we feel, or ‘look at’ things. Perhaps we are setting ourselves up for new pastures, new opportunities along with new allies along the way.

It’s interesting to notice the placement of Lilith. It’s on the degree that Mars went retrograde on in June, and, it seems to be signalling the need to take a good, hard look at ourselves and others, and, we may need to leave some people, ideas, attitudes, commitments, memories, etc behind. Lilith is on Aquarius 10: A MAN WHO HAD FOR A TIME BECOME THE EMBODIMENT OF AN IDEAL IS MADE TO REALIZE THAT AS A PERSON HE IS NOT THIS IDEAL. When Aquarius 10 is active, as it has been through the agency of Mars retrograde this year, we often find that adjustments of expectations and desired outcomes have to fall away in order to be replaced with more likely, or, reasonable ones. We may find that we have been trying to live up to an ideal that is unrealistic, or, unattainable.

So, this is a very Uranian full Moon, which could bring many shocks, perhaps both good and not-so-good. One thing is for sure, the status quo, in many ways, is not going to work so well any more. Perhaps it never has worked that well, but, we needed something to shake us up and to awaken us. Certainly the accent on ‘storms’ is likely to have things whipping up. (BTW, as I was writing this, an *enormous* thunder and lightning storm erupted over Sydney, and, it was directly overhead where I was. The bangs and claps were so incredibly loud that I jumped almost vertically off my chair :) ).

Another thing that stands out to me is the Sabian Symbol of Scorpio 3: NEIGHBORS COMING TOGETHER IN A HOUSE RAISING PARTY. Shortly after the full Moon, the Sun along with Venus, will move onto this degree, and, we might find that much more can be achieved by calling on friends, family and/or neighbors. Each person brings their own expertise, tools and energies along with them. I sense that this will be important during this full Moon – to rally together when needed. Even if just to give encouragement and support.

Saturn, that solid-as-a-rock planet, could see many things being decided and set in stone. Saturn is sextiling the Sun and Venus, and, trining the Moon in the hours and few days after the full Moon. This could have us committing to new beginnings that are more aligned with the things that are ‘better for us’, whether they’re really what we might have be wanting, or not. We may have to knuckle down and commit to the realities of our situations, which, in turn, could bring about the realisation of our dreams, anyway.

There’s more to say, there always is. But, I think that if you take a look at the Sabian Symbols in the following, it is quite an interesting, and, rather challenging time ahead. As usual, it’s full steam ahead.

The full Moon each month marks a time of heightened energies and events. It often marks the culmination of the energies released at the new Moon. Emotions can be supercharged as the Sun and Moon are on opposite sides of the zodiac and illumination is increased – it’s like we can see in the dark – and we can be hyper-aware as well as being hyper-awake. The effects of a full Moon can be major or minor, depending on how they interact with your own chart. Sometimes, realisations or events that are unleashed, or unlocked, can stretch their meaning months into the future. A lot can be learned at the time of the full Moon and whether it’s lunacy or illumination, or a combination of both, there’s magic unleashed with every full Moon.
Full Moon:   Oct 24, 2018   4:45 pm GMT

The full Moon is on Taurus 2: AN ELECTRICAL STORM ILLUMINATES THE HEAVENS AND THE FORESTS – the following is the interpretation from my book – The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom

Commentary: ‘An Electrical Storm’ can really wake us up. Sometimes it comes out of the blue, when we’re not expecting it. As it approaches there is a strong buildup of energy and things can become stuck and static. There is a feeling of something pending; the tension and promise of a breaking point occurring at any minute. As it ‘Illuminates the Heavens and the Forests’, it sheds flashes of light on the environment or the immediate situation. It often happens that the cleansing promise of rain is held back momentarily while the ‘Electrical’ power of the situation seems to take over everything.

Oracle: This situation will most likely change from what it first appeared to be. You may actually have little influence over what is being unleashed. In the meantime, there’s a need to keep a cool head while observing everything around. Eventually the energy will dissipate and you will regain control: physically, mentally or emotionally. Lightning is a powerful ‘Electrical’ energy, and brilliant flashes of intuition can come when it is unleashed. This Symbol says that the ‘Electrical Storm Illuminates the Heavens and the Forests’; with a sense of added awareness, it brings insight and ‘Illumination’ to a high point of focus. Things that have not been obvious before are likely to become much clearer to you, sometimes crystal clear. Paths out of confusion can suddenly be revealed. Pay attention, as this can be in short grabs. Things will seem better if you feel safe in your environment and with the people around you. Keep your eyes wide open. Don’t worry about losing control, as the ‘Electrical Storm’ will pass relatively quickly, possibly leaving you in a better place and a fresh state of mind.

Keywords: Reverence for the forces of nature. Loud cracks, flashes, and bangs that clear the air. Flashes of insight. Tension and its release. Electrical conductors. The sense that all hell is going to break loose. Short circuits of mind or emotions. Electricity failures. Crackling emotions. Flashes in quick succession. Bursts of energy. Light changing. Psychic clearing. Hot flushes. Surges.

The Caution: Being frozen in fear just when one needs to spur to action. Losing control. Being distracted by surroundings. Not being completely aware of all the potential dangers. Worry that overtakes and engulfs. Chaos in the brain. Nervous reactions. Things changing quickly. Brilliance that is quickly or easily lost. Power blackouts.

The Karmic Degree for the full Moon is Taurus 1: A CLEAR MOUNTAIN STREAM FLOWS STEADILY DOWNSTREAM

This Symbol shows purity of motive and a sense of knowing where one’s going along with a quiet determination to get there. There’s an assurance that you can be fresh and vibrant and revitalized from your spiritual source. Concentrate on the direction in which you are heading and don’t deviate from it. Perform your tasks with an untainted vitality and you will enrich those around you. Realize that many came before you, and you are a part of their product. There is tradition and strength behind you.

Keywords: Remaining fluid. Flowing energy. Pure sources, nourishment and refreshment. Sure sense of direction. “Untainted” blood lines. Purifying one’s thoughts, ideas and beliefs. Things set in train from upstream. Water. Dams. Water as a resource. Purification. Cleaning and cleansing. Pipelines. The spiritual dimensions of water. Baptism. Elemental knowledge. Traffic. The Quest Degree for the full Moon is Taurus 3: NATURAL STEPS UP TO A LAWN BLOOMING WITH CLOVER

This Symbol often shows comfort, luxury, riches, beauty and the good things in life. It implies that a time of fulfillment is close by, but there often is still some small effort to be made in that one has to take the simple steps towards inviting wonderful things into your life. Keep going the way you are, following your natural intuition, and you will find the peace you have in sight. Just be aware not to become complacent or lazy as doing nothing and not putting any effort in could lead to great possibilities slipping away.

Keywords: Hopefulness. Inspirational possibilities. Gradually enlarging one’s vision. Harmony. Seasonal changes. Running around on grass. Bare feet. The beauty of greenery and flowers. Stability on the path. Steps that invite one on to bigger and better things. Abundance, nourishment. Making small efforts that can lead to large returns. Places to spread out and relax. Having plenty of room to move. Gardens and parks.

The Caution: Looking for the easy way out. Not making the effort to find what is just a few steps away. Being lazy when one should be going for the objective. Temporary success. Expecting everything to be laid out before you. Weeds. Unkempt lawns. Neglected land.

The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy – yours and others.

The Sun is on Scorpio 2: A BROKEN BOTTLE AND SPILLED PERFUME

This Symbol implies something fragile and beautiful that may somehow be shattered or lost. It can also show the need to let things go and not hang onto them to the point of shattering and loss. There will be times of building up or concentrating your emotions until they are suddenly let out. There may be little that you can do about an outburst, but you may need to be careful of what you do as you sort things out. Sometimes things need to be “Broken” so that their contents can be released and fully appreciated or revealed. The smell of “Perfume” can release memories of love, longing and desire, but also anger, hurt or jealousy.

Keywords: The memory of things lingering on. Scents or smells that evoke reactions. The “cat let out of the bag”. The “genie let out of the bottle”. Dizziness. Passing out. Smelling salts. Liquids spilled. Anything broken or shattered. Accidents. The loss of something precious. Alcoholism. Biological and chemical weapons of all kinds. Being emotionally charged. Cracking up to crack open. The sound of breaking glass.

The Caution: Things looking good on the outside, but the contents disappointing. Spilling one’s guts. Things erupting suddenly. Injured or broken necks or backs. Envy and jealousy. Broken bones. Smelly remnants.

The Karmic Degree for the Sun is Scorpio 1: A SIGHT-SEEING BUS FILLED WITH TOURISTS

This Symbol speaks of taking in the world through the senses; seeing, tasting, observing and getting in amongst what’s going on. There can be a feeling of knowing one’s destination, having a map or guide, but not always knowing what it is truly like. One feels guided and cocooned, but there can be feelings of being an observer and, sometimes, of being observed. You could feel like you’re separate from what’s going on. Pictures and souvenirs of your journey are likely to be collected. The trick with this degree is to throw yourself into life, reach out for all sorts of adventures and, most of all, enjoy the ride!

Keywords: Observing life. Feeling disconnected from reality. UFO’s and aliens. Seeing how other people live. Watching from afar. Tourists, traveling, buses. Suitcases and luggage. Cameras, pictures, souvenirs. Tour guides. Timing and being on time. The untried and untrodden or the same old road. Getting lost in something for hours. Foreign territories. New ways of seeing.

The Caution: Feelings of naivety and gullibility. Feeling like an alien even in familiar surroundings. Making assumptions about others’ lives. Not fitting in. Expecting things without any personal expenditure or effort. Getting out of one’s depth. Having difficulty calling one’s own agenda. Separation anxiety. Inability to concentrate.

The Quest Degree for the Sun is Scorpio 3: NEIGHBORS HELP IN A HOUSE-RAISING PARTY IN A SMALL VILLAGE

This Symbol shows people coming together in order to commune and build and accomplish something. Rather than going it alone, great things can be achieved if everyone works and pulls together. It is by acting as a community, rather than as separate individuals, that difficult projects can be undertaken and completed. Sharing one’s skills, resources, time, tools and experiences can build worthwhile community values and enduring friendships that enrich and reward the community. Along with the labor, there will be time to share a drink, a meal and a chat, further drawing people into a sense of community and a shared purpose.

Keywords: Cooperation. Real estate deals. Community concerns. Buying or building houses. Renting apartments and homes. Needing help to find shelter. The agreement of neighbors to maintain community harmony. “Raising the roof”. Parties. Dormitories. Having to consider the needs of lots of people. Match making. Community halls. Understanding what it takes to make a village of people. Communal governance or being blocked by rules, laws and regulations of bureaucracy. Homeless shelters. Tools. Building expertise. The Sun symbolizes: One’s core center, spirit, heart, issues to do with father, men, self, ego, your male side. How you radiate your sense of being. What others see, how you are recognized or remembered, sense of identity and connection with male energy – yours and others.

Mercury is on Scorpio 22: HUNTERS PROTECTED BY HEAVY CLOTHING ARE SHOOTING WILD DUCKS

This Symbol implies the need for protection of those innocent or younger, smaller, or not able to protect themselves. Being an advocate for others, you can shield them from the more harmful elements of society. You may, at times, feel that you are the one that needs to be protected or given shelter or in need of people declaring a ceasefire and amnesty so people can come out into the open and not be afraid to show their true selves. Of course, there is a need for an outlet for aggressive emotions every now and then. Doing so in groups gives this outlet, such as “Shooting Wild Ducks” some sense of acceptability. However, picking on the undefended or smaller is not right, no matter what the terms.

Keywords: Satiating one’s aggressive desires. Being able to hit the mark. Putting up with violence in one’s life, whether physical, mental, spiritual or emotional. Road, and other, types of rage. The armed services and their responsibilities. War. Terrorism in its many forms. Camouflage. Being an armed force. Armaments.

The Caution: Exploitation of those who are more vulnerable. Taking unfair advantage of the innocent or the less experienced. Feeling like a sitting duck. Nowhere to run or hide. Hormones running rampant. Mindless violence. War crimes tribunals. Gang warfare. Indiscriminate actions.

The Karmic Degree for Mercury is Scorpio 21: OBEYING THEIR CONSCIENCE, A SOLDIER RESISTS ORDERS

This Symbol shows someone whose “Conscience” stops them from following a certain course of action, staying with a project or relationship when they’d rather leave, or, someone not prepared to compromise their values to do something that society says they must do. You may find yourself in situations where what you are expected to do is against your inner values, your conscience or how you see your future unfolding. You may have to make the difficult choice between allegiance to duty or your own inner truth. True freedom can only be found when one faces situations with a sense of integrity and preparedness to face the consequences, be they positive or negative.

Keywords: Personal morality. Doing what one’s conscience dictates. Going against the status quo. Doing the unexpected. Going by the promptings of the inner voice. The consequences of having a conscience. Not coming home. People clinging to each other. Love that restrains.

The Caution: Displaying cowardice or a lack of courage to act. Not doing what one is expected to do. ‘Going over the top’ in a wild and crazy way. Going AWOL. Being the one who lets everyone down. Court Martials. Antisocial behavior. Anarchists. Being “uncommitted” or “unavailable”. Choosing play instead of duty. Goofing off.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.

Venus is retrograde on Scorpio 5: A MASSIVE, ROCKY SHORE RESISTS THE POUNDING OF THE SEA

This Symbol often implies a relentless resistance to change, along with a strong and abiding endurance and ability to stay with things for a long time. It can show feelings of being under emotional assault, like life is wearing you out or grinding you down. Perhaps the same old conversations, problems, issues, keep coming up. Have faith in the fact that you are strong enough to resist and maintain – like the “Massive” shoreline, you have the ability to resist things that test or “Pound” you. The question is: How long can you hold out, especially if it’s been going on for so long? Employ love and compassion, along with knowing when to allow change to happen and when to let go if things are no longer working.

Keywords: Relentless, unchanging reality. The establishment. Feeling battered and bruised. The need to hold onto reality in difficult situations. Sticking with something no matter what the cost or how long it takes. Chinese water torture. Evolution. Endurance. Pounding waves, rocks and sand.

The Caution: Acting out of stubbornness which can lead to inertia, not growth. Tedious negotiations of all kinds. Shooting yourself in the foot. Fighting the elements.

The Quest Degree for Venus retrograde is Scorpio 6: A GOLD RUSH TEARS MEN AWAY FROM THEIR NATIVE SOIL

This Symbol shows the desire to strike out for new territories, new possibilities, new shores, in an attempt to stroke “Gold”; to find more money, a better life with more rewards, etc. The “Gold Rush” often tears people away from their usual environment, their homes, their country, their “Native soil”, looking for a better place. The temptation is to chase the promise of riches elsewhere. You may have a choice between stable, established situations and more unstable, exciting, temporary or risky situations. The actual promise of abundance in far away places is sometimes worth the effort of moving on, other times not. You might ‘strike gold’ or you may just find yourself a long way from home.

Keywords: Strong desires to move on. The longing and the search for the easy fulfillment of hopes and dreams. Leaving one’s native soil. Having a cause or mission to pursue. Leaving home, people, family. Dropping everything to chase a project. Pilgrimages. The search for riches. Immigration and migration. Listening to clues. The search for the Holy Grail. Pursuing a better life.

The Caution: Chasing the impossible dream. Losing everything. Being unrealistic or opportunistic. Not being content with what one’s got. The grass being greener elsewhere. Lusting after rewards that may be unreal or transitory. Risking what one has for what one could have. Wild goose chases. Exhausting journeys.

Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.

Mars is on Aquarius 18: A MAN BEING UNMASKED AT A MASQUERADE

This shows being able to see through others; to be able to “Unmask” people, to reveal one’s self or hide away when it’s needed. It seems that someone is having their mask stripped away; they’re no longer able to “Masquerade”, they are revealing themselves, who they are and possibly their intentions. Secret motives may have a purpose at the time they are concealed, but they almost invariably become known. You may find that you, or someone else, finds themselves in this situation. Difficulties and embarrassment that can arise, but staying true is the important thing. There may be a need to look after your reputation.

Keywords: Secret motives exposed. Having to face one’s self. Facing the truth about another. Coming to terms with judgments about one’s true worth. Owning up to who one truly is. Being able to see through characters and trickery. Wearing a ‘Mask’ that suits the situation. Insights into people. Dropping pretense. Stripping away cover-ups. Aliases. Finding or revealing one’s true self. The desire for authenticity.

The Caution: Detrimentally revealing yourself too quickly or too early. Being found out to be a fraud. Finding answers that aren’t welcome. Layers of deception discovered. Charades, pretense and ploys to manipulate. Lies. Assumed identities.

The Karmic Degree for Mars is Aquarius 17: A WATCHDOG STANDING GUARD, PROTECTING HIS MASTER AND HIS POSSESSIONS

This shows “Protecting” one’s people or boundaries, to be a “Watchdog Standing Guard”. This can be a tiring responsibility, but one that has you feeling you belong and contribute to the safety and wellbeing of your loved ones, or perhaps those you work for. If not handled well, you may feel unsafe at times, needing to be alert to signs of trouble. This can be a good thing, but it can lead to paranoid behavior where you can’t relax. Enlisting the support of trusted and loyal supporters may help, but you probably also need some self assurance. Watch out for false feelings of intrusion or betrayal.

Keywords: Guardianship. Things that stand guard and protect. Being on the alert against invasion or other trouble. Loyalty, possessiveness. Jealousy. The worry of loss. Alarm and security systems. Locks. Watchdogs. Being afraid of intrusion. Survival instincts. Bouncers and musclemen. Security guards. Constantly checking up. Sudden responses. Having one’s ear to the ground for danger.

The Caution: Suspicion and paranoia that rob the joy of ownership. Being unable to let down one’s guard because of the possibility of invasion or attack. Feelings of being exposed. Possible betrayal. Greed. Envy. Lust for power. Having others do “the dirty work”. Stool pigeons. Spying. Stooges. Being the fall guy. Worrying endlessly about loss. Resenting intrusion. Jealousy.

The Quest Degree for Mars is Aquarius 19: A FOREST FIRE FINALLY QUENCHED

This shows rising to the occasion and quenching the flames of “Fires” that can leap out of their boundaries and take control of your life. Enthusiastic drive and zeal can sometimes set off an almost uncontrollable and destructive chain of events. You may have been caught up in such a situation, emotional or physical. There is likely to be no choice but to fight for control and minimize the destruction. Any efforts will be, at last, successful. You are likely to come out of some life-threatening experiences with a new sense of commitment or a better understanding of the consequences of your actions.

Keywords: Exuberant feelings that come after struggles. Coming out of an experience with a new sense of commitment or a new understanding of consequences. Getting a bee in your bonnet. Spot fires. Jubilation and release after hard labor. Fighting for control. Sparks getting out of control. Events taking off in all directions. Sexual energy and the containment of it. Ideas that get whipped up and take off at high speed. The ferocity of nature. The calm after the storm. Smouldering passions. Smoke. Oneeyed focus.

The Caution: Giving up too soon and losing it all. Self-defeating delight in drama. Looking back on a situation that got out of control and produced a lot of rubble. Destructive passions. Losing one’s spark. Running out of fuel. Feeling burnt out. Exhaustion and despair at what’s lost.

Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.

Jupiter is on Scorpio 27: A MILITARY BAND MARCHES NOISILY ON THROUGH THE CITY STREETS

This Symbol shows the need for occasionally making a show for society to remind ourselves of our successes and achievements, whether they are collective or personal achievements. The “Military Band” can make an enormous amount of noise as it “Marches Noisily”, but sometimes we need to be woken or reminded of the cohesion that a military band can show. Likewise, this can show someone that likes to bang their own drum or to make a big noise about themselves or for the establishment. As long as the audience is ok with this display, one can contain the reaction from others. Sometimes, though, people get annoyed by people banging their drums a little too loudly.

Keywords: Making music to rouse people from complacency. Noisy announcements. Demanding attention. Trumpeting achievements. Reminders from the authorities that individuals are often not in charge. Celebrations of past battles. Corporate advertising. Peace rallies or war marches. Marching and drills. Precision movements. Baton twirling. Drums and trumpets. Spit and polish.

The Caution: A lot of volume that can be too pompous. So much volume that the true message gets lost. Demanding to be heard. Banging one’s drum, even when others might be unresponsive or not want to hear. Blaring announcements. Warnings to others to follow orders or to be complicit. Big ego displays. Propaganda. Threats to peace. Momentary disruptions.

The Quest Degree for Jupiter is Scorpio 28: THE KING OF THE FAIRIES APPROACHING HIS DOMAIN

This Symbol shows the ability, or the need, to feel at ease and in charge of your home, territory or domain. You may have been searching for where you belong or where your “Domain” is. Although you may at times be off looking for this, feeling alien and alone won’t work; there’s a need to feel accepted, welcomed and loved. There may be the feeling of wanting to be a dominant leader or having a doting populace. As long as egos are in control, this can be a fabulous experience of ‘returning home’, a nice, and calm and spiritual place to be. Also, this degree can show a world of one’s own creation or imagination – which can be fabulously rewarding although it can also be rather ungrounded in reality.

Keywords: Imaginary worlds. Finding a place. Feeling comfortable. Taking command of life. Leadership and its responsibilities. Feeling like a dominant leader and that one has a doting populace. Being welcomed. Midsummer Night’s Dream. Returning home. Web domains. Finding one’s true vocation or purpose.

The Caution: Imaginary worlds and dependence on trickery. Ridicule aimed at those that don’t have their feet on the ground. Someone acting like a “hot shot”. Feelings of superiority which alienate others. The fear of approaching the unknown. Never finding a real place to settle down. Fairy tales about how life could or should be. Lording it over others. Being bossy and commanding. Being impotent. The fear and loathing of having to accept one’s true place. Not taking command of one’s life. Loneliness. Feeling locked out.

Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.

Saturn is on Capricorn 5: INDIANS – SOME ROWING A CANOE WHILE OTHERS ARE DANCING A WAR DANCE

This degree shows the need to bring stability and calm to situations, whilst continuing to “Row” in the direction you’re meant to go. Sometimes we’re just rowing our boat and someone wants to upset it, or, they are in our environment trying to drum up trouble or antagonize others. This shows the choice: row the boat or be on the defensive. Someone may solve situations with aggression. However, at the right time, showing one’s strength can work in your favor. Aggression isn’t really the answer, but, to make a show of your position and the effort you will make to defend it, will ultimately win respect. Keep rowing, and head towards your desired destination.

Keywords: Some getting on with their lives whilst others are not. Vehicles of discovery versus arguing and bickering. Threats and intimidation. Making a show of power and mobility. Cooperation bringing release from difficulties. Mobilizing forces. Psyching oneself up. Group efforts. Traffic.

The Caution: Making one’s case whilst having to be continually on the move. Being emotionally charged. Arguments and bickering that halt forward movement or growth. Intimidation. Moving targets. Superficial shows of strength for display purposes. Making a lot of noise. Pulling faces. Gestures that threaten. Accepting no opposition to progress. Aggression. Divergent motivations leading to confusion. Road rage.

Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.

Uranus is retrograde on Taurus 1: A CLEAR MOUNTAIN STREAM FLOWS STEADILY DOWNSTREAM

Traffic. Flowing crowds of people. Going against the tide.

The Caution: Aimlessness. Aloofness. Feelings of physical, spiritual, racial or intellectual purity that can lead to smugness, bigotry or a false sense of superiority. Ice cold feelings and responses. Not taking notice or being concerned about another’s feelings. Cold ambition. Mud and sediment. Pollutants. Algae. Stagnants moments.

Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or ‘different’. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.

Neptune is retrograde on Pisces 14: A LADY WRAPPED IN FOX FUR

This shows being able to present an image that shows intelligence, cleverness, glamour and beauty, along with knowing how to move in social circles. The “Lady Wrapped in Fox Fur” is someone who’s sure of themselves, able to bend to situations and have situations bend to their own desires. It often shows getting out of, or into, anything they want. You can present an image that enhances your position in society. Intelligence and wit will probably see you through, with others noticing your beauty, grace or intellect. If, however, the guise was stripped away, would you still express the same qualities? You may have to display your capabilities because of negative prejudice, chauvinism, or being underestimated.

Keywords: Outer expressions of real inner worth. Animal magnetism and attraction. Intelligence and its display. Cloaks of feminine wit and sexuality. Beguiling minds. Animal totems and furs. Perceived beauty. The sense of having class and money. Beauty, fashion and talent. Being forward and upfront. Sense of personal style. Grace and composure. Elegance. Knowing what to say and when. Dressing up. Money spent on beauty. Tempting others with sexual signals. Perfumes. Pheromones. Taxidermy.

This can and often does lead to a greater understanding of the relationship between the whole and the many parts.
