It is the ultimate wisdom of the mountains that a man is never more a man than when he is striving for what is beyond his grasp. James Ramsey Ullman

Do not seek to follow in the footsteps of the wise. Seek what they sought. Basho

If you wish to know the road up the mountain, ask the man who goes back and forth on it. Zenrin

First there is a mountain, then there is no mountain, then there is.  Zen Aphorism

Life at the top is financially rewarding, spiritually draining, physically exhausting, and short. Peter C. Newman

Ability may get you to the top, but it takes character to keep you there. John Wooden

Occuring on January 16 in the US and January 17 in Australia, the first new Moon of 2018 is quite an archetypal one for Capricorn. It speaks of ambition, whatever kind of ambition that might be – it might be social, physical, spiritual, the attainment of a particular goal. The Symbol is Capricorn 27: A MOUNTAIN PILGRIMAGE – it could barely be more archetypal. Of course, there’s all kinds of ambition, and, we’re not all mountain goats able to traverse rocky outcrops and high altitudes and the refined air that we can find ourselves having to negotiate. This kind of ambition can point us in many different possible trajectories, but, one thing is for sure, we may be feeling the need to scale some heights we might not have even considered before. We may, of course, become more and more sure footed, more sure of where we’re going, what we need and what we want.

And, talk about letting go of the past and embracing the new; Uranus is squaring the Sun and the Moon and Venus, and, it’s quincunxing (150 degree aspect – I call the quincunx the ‘the itch that’s difficult to scratch’ aspect) Mars… This (all of these Uranus transits) can have us champing at the bit to get going, to do something new, to break through old barriers, to let go of old habits, people, possessions, attitudes, mind-sets, etc. We may feel like this is finally a chance at a new beginning – a new way to take on the world. We may be quite firm in our decisions, and, this could surprise some around us who may have expected us to merely continue on as before.

Mars may be quincunx Uranus, but, at least it’s sextiling (60 degree aspect) the Sun and the Moon and Venus, and, the sextile goes on for a few days after the new Moon, bringing added impetus to get things going.

Jupiter is squaring the nodes, but, it is trining Neptune, so, this can be a time where we assess how and what we owe our allegiances to. We may find ourselves short on patience with those who are on the ‘other side of the fence’, or, who continually stir up trouble. We might feel a need to move away from those who bring us down, those who concentrate on (or only see) the negative.

Jupiter is on a very interesting degree that often brings up women’s issues – Scorpio 20: A WOMAN DRAWING ASIDE TWO DARK CURTAINS THAT CLOSED THE ENTRANCE TO A SACRED PATHWAY – we see the ‘curtains drawn aside’ so we can see down that dark pathway, that sacred path. Certainly, it can be seen as a ‘rabbit hole’ – where it leads to, nobody knows, but, we often have to venture down new pathways or we stay stuck in situations, events, relationships, places, or whatever, long after we’re supposed to. This Symbol, especially as Mars recently traversed it, is very much about the women’s movements going on, the MeToo movement, etc. Jupiter is illuminating that pathway for all of us. That feminine pathway that can be dark and mysterious, but, certainly can be very rewarding.

It’s very interesting to note that the next degree (the Quest Degree) of Jupiter is Scorpio 21: OBEYING HIS CONSCIENCE, A SOLDIER RESISTS ORDERS. This is a very interesting degree, and Jupiter goes onto this degree a week or so after this new Moon. It often speaks of people ‘leaving their posts’, resigning, not doing the job they signed up for, leaving, deserting, saying no when society expects them to say yes, etc. It is a degree that can speak of defiance, but, it can also signal the need to follow your conscience, to not go against the dictates of your mind and heart. If something feels ‘wrong’ or bad or ill-advised, this degree can speak about moving past it or away from it. Of course, it can also speak of someone not doing what they are meant to do. This degree can be freeing or frustrating; it all depends on how it’s manifesting in your life. Certainly, it seems, someone, and this could be someone in your life, or in the political life or your nation, in business or whatever, is likely to be dropping out in some way. This can also, of course, show people doing the wrong thing, deserting their post in times of need, up and running off if things get a little hard or dicey.

Mars is on a Symbol that speaks about the desire, or the need, to see what’s really going on, what’s the truth and what might be revealed if have the ability to really ‘see’ into those dark spaces that might not be so easy to peer down. Mars is on Scorpio 25: AN X-RAY PHOTOGRAPH THAT HELPS WITH THE DIAGNOSIS – quite the archetypal Scorpio degree. Mars on this degree can have us wanting to look down that path, to see what’s been hidden from truth, to find an accurate picture of our lives. And, of course, as always, this manifest on a personal, spiritual, physical and/or political level. What can you discern is really happening?

There’s always more to say, but, you can find some added information by looking at the Sabian Symbol placements below.

The new Moon each month marks a time of new beginnings and realisations. It’s like a birth after a time of gestation or being ‘in the womb’. Here, the light begins to return and we can see new beginnings and possibilities. A new Moon means that the Sun and the Moon are both together – bringing a synergy of their energies together. The new Moon is a perfect time to set your intentions for the future. This period is wonderful for planting seeds of whatever kind. What do you want to manifest in your future? Whether you write it down, sing about it or just hold the thought forms in your mind, doing this at the new Moon can realise some fabulous results around the things that you want to draw into your life
New Moon:   Jan 17, 2018   2:16 am GMT

The new Moon is on Capricorn 27: A MOUNTAIN PILGRIMAGE – the following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom –

Commentary: ‘A Mountain Pilgrimage’ shows the human need to strive further, to go places that few people go and to take risks in the hope of reaching a somewhat “exalted” place. Taken literally, a ‘Mountain Pilgrimage’ can be difficult, risky and even downright life threatening, especially to those who are old, frail, in ill health or simply unfit. However, the ‘Pilgrimage’ can manifest on many levels, from wanting to reach and attain the “highest office” in a company or a country, all the way to desiring and striving for ascension to higher levels of other-worldly or spiritual attainment.

Oracle: In the situation facing you, there may be a need to strive and to learn more on your path to understanding and fulfillment. You may feel the desire to follow those who have gone before you in order to achieve a true sense of inner fulfillment and achievement. The effort that you have to expend is sometimes great, but, then, so can be the rewards. A keen sense of ambition that knows few limitations or boundaries, can lead to the top, even though it might be a steep climb. This ‘Pilgrimage’ can signal the need to get back to the purer elements of life and finding one’s spiritual grounding. The effort involved in the ‘Mountain Pilgrimage’ can take you away from friends and family, and those things that have been familiar and comforting to you. However, you may be surrounded, sometimes above and sometimes below, by people who share the same hopes and visions. These aren’t necessarily the friends and family that you are used to sharing your life with, but people you meet up with on the journey. Still, this may be a lonely journey, whether you are with others or not. Regardless, keep striving – it may be well worth the time and effort as you work to reach your own ‘Mountain’ top.

Keywords: Ascent in consciousness. Spiritual, material, corporate or political striving. Having an entourage of people (or wanting one). Aloneness and separation. Setting off to somewhere else. Going on a mission. Finding one’s spiritual grounding. Getting back to the purer elements of life. Ambitions to get to the top. Wanting the highest office in the land.

The Caution: High moral stands with no depth of feeling. Feeling “high above” others. Feelings of being, or acting like, an ascended being. Haughtiness. Intellectual snobbery. People scrambling for the top. The “tall poppy” syndrome. Ambitions that know no bounds. People ridiculing others for their lesser position. Spiritual or corporate struggling for position.

The Karmic Degree for the Moon is Capricorn 26: A NATURE SPIRIT DANCING IN THE MIST OF A WATERFALL

This Symbol shows skipping lightly over the surface of life, dancing and playing. You may feel emotionally light and almost mischievous. The worries of life and the deeper parts of your feelings are ignored as you effortlessly flit over the surface of any troubles. Whilst this is, essentially, a beautiful symbol of a joy, harmony and a ‘lightness of being’, there may be an element of feeling cut off from your body, or reality. This can lead to a sense of alienation or difficulty in knowing where to land or evading problems by ignoring them or rising above them.

Keywords: Effervescent spirits or escapism. Dancing in a carefree manner. Water and fun. Peter Pan characters. Mountains, mists, fog. Reveling in nature. Picking up subtle energies. Being healed because of the heightened atmosphere (altitude). Celebrations of the natural world. Waterfalls. Water spraying and dripping. Finding one’s habitat. Chinese water-torture. Water nymphs, fairies and nature spirits, devas, and angels.

The Caution: Irresponsibility, avoidance of real situations. Not taking anything seriously. Escapism. Moving, or flying, around. Perceptions of light. Fear of dark places. Naivete.

The Quest Degree for the Moon is Capricorn 28: A LARGE AVIARY

This Symbol shows being able to take in a lot of information, to be social, yet have some time alone. The “Large Aviary” has a lot of citizens, all buzzing around, all interacting and full of life. There is a lot of chattering and flitting from one thing to another going on and while there is no harm being done, perhaps, sometimes, there’s nothing much really being achieved. Is this because there is a level of mental confusion happening? At the least there is likely to be a feeling of brotherhood and not being alone, in fact, finding time alone can be difficult.

Keywords: Clairaudience. Hearing many inner voices. Having a huge entourage or crowd. Tinnitus. Enormous activity. Many people living their individual lives in one space. Blocks of flats and units. Housing estates. Birds, aviaries, bird seed. Perches. People chattering. Girls sharing. Lots to say. Little true content. Confined living spaces. Communicating solely with those in the immediate environment. Living in a world of one’s own with no thought of the realities of how other people live. Having to get along with others. Caged birds.

The Caution: Mental confusion bringing a lack of discernment. Chattering, not doing. Gossip and intrigue. False sense of freedom. Abandoned living spaces. Caged birds.

The Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy – yours and others.

Mercury is on Capricorn 9: AN ANGEL COMES CARRYING A HARP

This degree shows being able to care for others – being there when they need it. It also shows that “Angels” will come when you call on them, when you’re most in need yourself. You may be able to ‘tune in’ and radiate harmony around you, inspiring confidence and joy. This pictures care, generosity and a fulfilled selfhood. Inspiring people to do their best can bring rewards to all concerned. The trick with this degree can be sorting out whether to trust the ‘tune’ that others sometimes play. Following someone for the wrong reasons can just lead you astray.

Keywords: Demons driven away by music. Lifting faith and hope. Messages of peace from the other side. Having a message to spin. Being in tune, spiritually. Having an elevated view of humanity. Creating harmony. Blowing the whistle. Advertising. Salvation that arrives when most needed. Harmonics. Music and musical instruments. Visitations of spirit. Messages of love and hope arriving. Pulling on the heartstrings. Heavenly attunement. Beautiful tunes. Promises of redemption. Revelations. Plucking strings.

The Caution: Having a holier-than-thou attitude. Losing oneself in fantasy. Tricking people with soothing words that mean nothing. Harping on about things. The Pied Piper.

The Quest Degree for Mercury is Capricorn 10: AN ALBATROSS FEEDING FROM THE HAND OF A SAILOR

This degree shows the overcoming of fears, superstitions or limiting thoughts. One of the ways of overcoming fears is through gentleness and a readiness to let down your guard and interact with people or animals without feeling afraid or vulnerable. Putting up a wall between you and other living things can cause alienation or the loss of the rewards that can come from truly relating. Even seemingly natural ‘enemies’ can realize the possibility of interaction and letting go of fear may be necessary. You may feel that you can deal with someone with whom you have usually kept your distance – possibly even help each other.

Keywords: Feeding one’s higher nature with good nourishment. Banishing worries, so that one can fly ever higher. Overcoming superstitions or beliefs. Travelers who put themselves at risk in foreign lands or cultures. Talking to anybody anywhere. Sharing one’s bounty. Sailors, boats. Birds. Empathy and sympathy for others. Restoring trust and hope.

The Caution: Manipulating events or people. False nourishment. Superstitious beliefs that keep one stuck. Fear of things like snakes and spiders or other living things. Dependence.

Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.

Venus is on Capricorn 29: A WOMAN READING TEA LEAVES

This Symbol shows being able to see things that others miss or using the intuition in order to receive the gifts that divination can bring. While others just see something simple like a tea cup, you can have the ability to weave a story for yourself and others about how life will, or can, be. One has to put aside skepticism and embrace trust and intuitive knowing in order to be able to listen to the messages that are around. Be open to seeing meaning through the catalyst of the simplest of everyday events. You will receive messages, if you are open to ‘seeing’ the signs. You may have to deal with skeptical people.

Keywords: Symbolism opening pathways to the spiritual center. Seeing the signs. Seeing signatures in small things that others miss. Intuition and clairvoyance. Creative visualization. Tea leaves and coffee grinds. Non verbal cues. Rituals. Tea and sympathy. Fathoming the depths of simple things. Predicting the future. Seeking guidance and changes of fortune.

The Caution: Reliance on esoteric advice. Not trusting gut feelings. Looking for confirmation of fears. Taking things literally, not symbolically. Excessive tea or coffee drinking.

The Quest Degree for Venus is Capricorn 30: DIRECTORS OF A LARGE FIRM MEET IN SECRET CONFERENCE

This Symbol shows meeting with others in order to lay out plans; to have “Secret” meetings of people, people that are often VIP’s in some way or, at least, in charge of decisions or governments or empires. The “Directors” meet, they conference or just conference call, exchange views, ideas, gossip. There may be decisions to be made or plans to be laid out. Do you make all your decisions on your own, or do you need help? You can often call on the relevant knowledgeable friends or authorities, as you’re bound to know them or how to meet them, and you’ll iron out the details. Sometimes, however, you may feel shut out by those “in charge”.

Keywords: Sharing innermost secrets. Confidential information. Masterly control. Big guys calling the shots. Being too busy to see people of “lesser” importance in your life. Rationing time. Governments and secrets. Spies. Privy Councils. Planning and plotting. Having a say in things. Doors. Whispers. Records of meetings. Important meetings. Boards of directors and secretaries.  Mars is on Scorpio 25: AN X RAY PHOTOGRAPH HELPS WITH THE DIAGNOSIS

This Symbol shows being able to see into areas or realms that others generally don’t take any notice of. You may find yourself looking for a deeper understanding of situations and you need to peel away the layers in order to get to the truth of the matter. You may need to employ both the emotions and the intellect. Ask yourself: what do you want to find and what is being done to reveal the structure or the nitty gritty of situations? Looking inside for clues. Being able to see through layers into the reality of things helps you to be able to make a “Diagnosis” – dia which means “by”, and gnosis which means “knowledge”

Keywords: Penetrating insight. Piercing through external appearances. Pure understanding. Incredible insight and revelations. Having the eyes to see. X-ray machines, spying, detective work. Reaching conclusions. Evaluations. Photographs. Negatives. Radiation. X-ray vision. Expensive and up-to-date equipment. Chemotherapy. Mammograms. Scanning equipment. Finding causes. Paparazzi.

The Karmic Degree for Mars is Scorpio 24: CROWDS COMING DOWN THE MOUNTAIN TO LISTEN TO ONE INSPIRED PERSON

This implies having a message or the voice that others flock to in order to listen. Whether you are the “One Inspired Person”, or someone in the audience, you may feel that you have had some wonderful realizations after hearing inspired messages, from within yourself or from an external source, and now you need to bring these lessons or understandings down to an everyday level in order to integrate them into everyday life. People will have different responses to the messages given. Not all will be responsive, but the message will resonate with those that are meant to hear it. What will be done with this information and how far will it spread?

Keywords: Power to sway the feelings and thoughts of many. The ability to draw a large audience. The Jesus story. Giving one’s power away to those who apparently have more authority. Charisma. Having a large audience. The minds and the ears of the many. Oratory skills. Gurus. Listening. Ascending the mountain to acheive a purer state of being. Lecturing.

This Symbol implies being able to, or having to, be in “New Territory”. Once a new place has been found, there is the need to acclimatize, adjust quickly and settle in. This new territory can be in a physical, emotional or spiritual framework. Whichever, you need to feel at home in an inner and outer sense. You may feel a creeping sense of unease if you find it hard to relax in the new environment or that the rug may be pulled from under your feet. You may also be someone who moves often in life, sometimes before you were able to get a sense of belonging or having friends. However, there is likely to be a pioneering or venturing spirit.

This Symbol shows the ability or the need to be able to draw aside confusions or obstructions that impede your path or stop you from realizing where you could be or go. You, either alone or with others, may feel the need to venture down new “Pathways” or investigate new possibilities, but you will have to muster faith and overcome fear to enter these new realms, these “Sacred” places. You will require both courage and inquisitive desire. Venturing down these paths make it clear that your sphere of operation and action will become vastly enlarged with the new perspective that opens for you.

Keywords: Mysteries revealed, sometimes after a long wait. Feminine mysteries laid out before you. Woman’s reproductive organs, especially the vagina. The mysteries of the Goddesses. The Karmic Degree for Jupiter is Scorpio 19: A PARROT LISTENING AND THEN TALKING, REPEATS A CONVERSATION HE HAS OVERHEARD

This Symbol infers some level of spiritual channeling or the hearing and passing on of messages. Birds symbolize spiritual forces and “Parrots” symbolize the ability to be able to give voice to messages. This Symbol indicates that someone who is receptive to thoughts and ideas can process information to the point where it becomes their own, although they may really be a channel or a translator rather than an originator of these messages or realizations. Perhaps there is a need integrate new understandings into your consciousness, to make a belief system or a code of living truly your own with your own stamp of individuality on it.

Keywords: Transmitting information or knowledge. The need to integrate things into consciousness. Recorded messages. Answering and fax machines. Mumbling. Translators, birds, parrots, news reporters, stool pigeons. Telephone operators. Messages from strange places. Automated responses. New languages. Talking to animals. Talkback radio.

This Symbol shows someone whose “Conscience” stops them from following a certain course of action, staying with a project or relationship when they’d rather leave, or, someone not prepared to compromise their values to do something that society says they must do. You may find yourself in situations where what you are expected to do is against your inner values, your conscience or how you see your future unfolding. You may have to make the difficult choice between allegiance to duty or your own inner truth. True freedom can only be found when one faces situations with a sense of integrity and preparedness to face the consequences, be they positive or negative.

Keywords: Personal morality. Doing what one’s conscience dictates. Going against the status quo. Doing the unexpected. Going by the promptings of the inner voice. The consequences of having a conscience. Not coming home. People clinging to each other. Love that restrains.

The Caution: Cowardice or lack of courage to act. Not doing what is expected. ‘Going over the top’ in a wild and crazy way. Freezing and confining emotions. Tantrums.

Saturn is on Capricorn 4: A GROUP OF PEOPLE ENTERING A LARGE CANOE FOR A JOURNEY BY WATER

This degree shows journeying with others. Each person brings with them their individual stories, their needs and wants. They come together to accomplish something, to set out for somewhere. To embark on a journey with a number of people is to embark on an emotional discovery, along with learning the rules of society about interacting with others. With cooperation, and everyone heading in the same direction, there can be great success. You may find episodes when different and separate aspects of your personality come together to explore where you’re going. The trick is, are you all headed in the same direction?

Keywords: Cohesive effort, cooperation and coordination. People coming together with a shared goal in sight. Being continually on the move. Feeling like one’s on a ‘Journey’ of destiny. People all pulling together. Canoes. Boats. Vehicles of discovery. Setting off on an adventure. Entering the unknown. Workshops. Unknown destinations. Setting sail. Observing the weather. This Symbol shows that what at first appears to be may reveal itself to actually be something else. Simple promises can be more complicated than first thought. The rational and emotional responses can conflict with each other; one wants something, the other wants something else. However, this can be the way to really view things, from an inner and outer perspective. Also indicates the choice that arises – of the heart and of social obligation. Realize the implications of expectations and promises.

Keywords: Rewards, but what do they bring with them? The possible implications of or reasons for any promises. Something that may look good on the outside, but prove to be difficult. This shows knowing when to stop battling in life, when to lay down one’s “Sword” and take up a higher position that reflects a more intelligent or spiritual way of being in the world. Sometimes, when reminded of the battles of the past, we are influenced towards actions that ensure peace. We are uplifted by the symbolic memory of past deeds of valor, although stings of defeat may be part of the story. You may be faced with the choice of fighting or reasoning which is confused by your lack of training or experience in the ways of “Battle”. Don’t go down with the ship. It helps to lay down one’s ‘sword’ – not in order to surrender, but to stop the ‘warring’

Pluto is on Capricorn 20: A HIDDEN CHOIR SINGING DURING A RELIGIOUS SERVICE

This Symbol shows singing, playing or enjoying music, and, also, to be able to pick up on things that others don’t see or hear. The “Hidden Choir” brings songs, or sounds, with messages of salvation and faith. The fact that they are hidden shows something coming out of the background, something subtle, something others may miss. It can be important to be receptive to your feminine, intuitive side, as there are messages to be heard. Realize that you are not alone; there are other people who feel the same things. Watch out for mental noise. The voices of the women heard more through orthodox halls. Do you want to contribute?

Keywords: Background messages. Voices not heard or noticed before. Men, women and the church. Sensitivity to spirituality. Speaking behind closed doors. Voices from “nowhere”. Melodies from the past. The Karmic Degree for Pluto is Capricorn 19: A CHILD OF ABOUT FIVE CARRYING A HUGE SHOPPING BAG FILLED WITH GROCERIES

This Symbol shows having to “Carry” heavy loads, to shoulder responsibilities, do chores and jobs and help others, sometimes because there’s no one else who can or will do it. Often, the “Child” gets these responsibilities because they are the one who others know is going to take it seriously, completing the task, taking care of details. You may feel that you have been burdened with responsibilities beyond normal expectations and possibly beyond your capability. Despite being keen and enthusiastic, you must be careful not to try to take on too much, or do too much, or too quickly. Like a child, you need to play, be creative and rest.

Keywords: Being the one everyone counts on to do the job. Feeling weighed down. Having to carry the “bag”. Lifting heavy weights and bearing the consequences. Taking on things above and beyond what one should. Acting the grownup. Maturing quickly. Looking after paperwork. Running errands. Providing food and sustenance for everyone.

Chiron is on Pisces 26: A NEW MOON REVEALS THAT IT’S TIME FOR PEOPLE TO GO AHEAD WITH THEIR DIFFERENT PROJECTS

This shows being able to see, or to accept, when it’s time for people to move on or to part from each other. They need to “Go Ahead With Their Different Projects” – their focus has changed and, quite possibly, they’ve parted ways. There’s a picture here of new beginnings. People will have their own response to situations – not everyone will react in the same way. It can be a good idea to direct some energy into your desires or projects at the time of the new moon. Light a candle and state your intentions with honesty and love.

Keywords: Diversifying. Applying talents in a different direction. People splitting up and splitting off. New opportunities and potentials. The beginning of a new age. The Karmic Degree for Chiron is Pisces 25: THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD

This shows seeing through those who hold important positions yet abuse trust or those who make great claims but don’t live up to them. At this time, you’re likely to find yourself leaving others behind, kicking them out, or experiencing falls from grace. Periodically, there is a need to examine moral and spiritual sincerity. It is easy to allow those who don’t really belong to stay because of familiarity or habit. We can lose sight of the ideal through our rationalizing intellect, ego and emotive passion. There is a need to cleanse and purify your life, leading to better spiritual values. What side of the “Purging” are you on? Are you the one with the ‘right motives’? Who’s in charge?

Keywords: Revealing the truth of people for who and what they truly are. Cutting people off. Throwing out things that don’t measure up. Forced retirement and redundancies.  The Moon’s North Node is on Leo 15: A PAGEANT MOVING ALONG A STREET PACKED WITH PEOPLE

This Symbol shows situations where a lot of people gather together. It may be possible that some achievement has created a desire for a big celebration. Perhaps it’s a regular seasonal street festival that has brought all these people out. A sense of fun and give and take and feeling at one with people in a crowded street can bring new friendships, the chance to look at what’s on display, to buy food and goods and an opportunity to rub shoulders with others in a relaxed and friendly situation. People support each other and share in the festivities if they feel invited and included.

Keywords: Demonstrations of joy. Spectacular shows of solidarity. Ticker-tape parades. Community celebrations of victory or faith. Food and drink stalls. Mardi gras and gay pride parades. Being a participant or an observer. Having a following. Gaiety and spectacle. Performers, musicians, magicians. Street stalls. Traffic management. The mob. Lots of people. Cul-de-sacs. Carnivals.

The Caution: Ostentatious displays of egocentric achievements. Blowing your trumpet. Closing off areas of one’s life, overplaying others. Feeling crammed with no room.

The Moon’s North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a ‘karmic point’ (although all planets and points in a chart can be ‘karmic’). One’s destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.

The Moon’s South Node is on Aquarius 15: TWO LOVEBIRDS SITTING ON A FENCE AND SINGING HAPPILY

This shows the need to enjoy relationships, to share in the joy and camaraderie that can come from being part of a couple, or enjoying your friends and their relationships. “Singing” and making statements about love can bring happiness to those nearby and lift the spirits of all involved. There may be a feeling of contentment, pleasure, commitment and enjoyment of your partnership. However, is this really based on taking an uninvolved or non-committed position – “Sitting on a Fence”? Perhaps you find it difficult to actually commit one way or the other. To choose invites risks of separation, but conviction probably eventually needs to be chosen or rejected.

Keywords: Faith in love. Waiting for signs. Friendship and companionship. Issues of “that’s them and this is us”. Fences, borders and barriers. Showing love for all to see. Commitment to relationship. Mating for life. The need for honest communications. Singing. Speaking one’s truth.

The Caution: Failing to ever commit. Sitting on the fence. Waiting to see what the other will do. Being stuck when one would rather fly off and be free. Neighborhood disputes. Co dependent behaviour that limits free expression.

The Moon’s South Node symbolizes: Past karmic patterns to be overcome, can be habits that are good, but can describe things, relationships, issues that you need to let go of, or, hold you back from manifesting your true destiny. Relationships that feel karmic and difficult, memories from the past.
