Saluting The Good, The True And The Real: January 2017 Aquarius New Moon
[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text title=”Astrology of this Lunar Cycle”]This new Moon feels particularly archetypal, considering what’s going on in the world of politics. Of course, it also has total relevance to our personal lives. Occurring on January 27 in the U.S. and January 28, in Australia, it speaks of running our thoughts, opinions and beliefs up ‘the flagpole’, and, being true to our ideals, hopes and dreams, in amongst being able to uncover what is truly going on within ourselves and in the world around us.
The new Moon Symbol being one of the ‘flag degrees’, we may find ourselves having to have renewed confidence in what we hold dear, who and what we ‘salute’ and how we can begin this new beginning (the new beginning of this year, the new beginning of our lives, the new beginning of the presidency, etc, etc) with a sense of belief in where we are heading. Of course, with so many challenges before us, it can feel rather daunting. The Quest Degree of this new Moon is very interesting, and, it’s one that may have us examining issues of truth, justice, and the belief in the goodness of life, and, we are likely to see more examples of having to hold firm to our freedoms on many levels, especially those around integrity and our willingness to see through the games and charades that we are seeing, whether in our personal lives or out there in society. The Quest Degree is Aquarius 10: A MAN WHO THOUGHT HE WAS THE EMBODIMENT OF AN IDEAL, IS MADE TO REALISE THAT, AS A PERSON, HE IS NOT THIS IDEAL. This Symbol can bring up issues of whether we, or others, are living up to the ‘standards’ that we, or they, are declaring for themselves. Shifts in attitudes and perceptions of what’s going on may bring us to judgements that are revealing in many ways, and, we might have a sense of some people, ideals or dreams falling from a pedestal. Issues to do with the freedom of the press, along with what constitutes ‘truth’ are up for grabs, as can be abuses of power. What an interesting time we are living in!
This new Moon sees the Chinese New Year ushered in, and, we may feel like this is even more of the beginning of the new year than we felt at January 1st. This is particularly so as the recent Mercury retrograde is now finally clearing it’s shadow, and, we can sense that energies are beginning to move in a forward direction. It is very interesting to note that we are going into the Year Of The Rooster with Jupiter just having been on Libra 23: CHANTICLEER’S VOICE HERALDS THE RISING SUN WITH ENTHUSIASTIC TONES. The ‘Chanticleer’ is a ‘rooster’, he sometimes heralds new beginnings, although he can also feel that he causes the sun to rise, and, be rather too cocky and loud. Jupiter has just now moved off Libra 23 and onto Libra 24 (see Jupiter’s Symbol below), which speaks of the need to find balance, as we may be feeling rather off-balance, leaning too far in one direction, or, not sure that we can have control of rather uncontrollable situations. A belief in the goodness of life and that the good will prevail can help enormously. Jupiter and Uranus being in opposition to each other brings forth sometimes intense feelings of the need for freedom, brotherhood and authenticity. Jupiter and Uranus can also bring up divides between people with different ideologies and, some associations, friendships and relationships may come apart if the divide is too great to bridge through love and understanding (and tolerance).
Of note in the aspects for this new Moon is the conjunction of Venus and Chiron. This can bring up the need to examine the stories that we tell ourselves about our relationships, values, ideals and dreams for the future. What stories need further examination? The Symbol for Venus, which speaks of ‘purging the priesthood’, is the same degree as Mars at the time of the inauguration of Donald Trump. Of course, it can show the ‘purging’ of people, ideas and possessions from our lives. What needs to go, and, what needs to be hung onto at this time? What, or who, is living up to the promises made, or, how are abuses of authority showing up in our lives?[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1481241102468{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_separator][vc_custom_heading text=”Want insights from the Sabian Symbols, direct to your inbox?” font_container=”tag:h4|text_align:left|color:%23404040″ use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1481241699889{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”][vc_column_text css=”.vc_custom_1434539588856{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]Sign up to Lynda’s newsletter and she will send you her intuitive insights every new and full moon to help you tune in to the symbols and rhythms of astrology.[/vc_column_text][mk_subscribe placeholder_text=”Your email” button_text=”SIGN UP” list_id=”d94b27acfe” subscribe_size=”medium” btn_bg_color=”#333333″ btn_text_color=”#ffffff” btn_border_color=”#cccccc” input_placeholder_color=”#cccccc” input_border_color=”#cccccc” btn_hover_bg_color=”#e87439″][vc_separator][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]
Saturn is squaring the Venus/Chiron conjunction, which is signalling a time to get organised, to get what is no longer needed or wanted out of your life, and, it may bring about an end to some situations or relationships that are no longer serving the common good. It is by taking a good, long, look at what you have perhaps outgrown in your life so that you can lighten your load, leaving you to get on with things that are more rewarding and less likely to just weigh you down. Saturn and Mars are also in a square aspect, and this adds enormously to the feeling that something needs to go, something needs to be worked out in amongst the acknowledgement that it’s time to move into a new beginning. All very interesting times. Further, Saturn and Mars being in square to each other can bring up issues to do with walls, barriers, cruelty…. it can speak of the need for barriers, or, the dislike of those walls and barriers that keep people from being together in some measure.
Another rather compelling aspect is the fact that, just days after this new Moon, Mercury conjuncts Pluto, with both planets on another ‘flag’ degree. This time it’s the Union Jack flag. This degree can speak of having boundaries, the flexing of military muscles, Brexit, the arms race, posturing in the South China Sea, etc. The boundaries can be seen as ‘walls’, sometimes these are useful and protective, however, sometimes they are also exclusionary and divisive. Mercury and Pluto conjuncting, particularly on Capricorn 18, can bring up strong issues to do with nation states all the way to the need to feel that we have ‘dominion’ over our own lives.
Mars is on a very interesting degree that asks us where we’re heading. At this new Moon, Mars moves out of Pisces and into Aries, and, we may find the need to find our feet and our voice as the Symbol for Aries 1 is A MERMAID EMERGING FROM THE OCEAN. This, also, speaks of the feeling of new beginnings.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css=”.vc_custom_1484031645493{margin-top: 20px !important;margin-bottom: 20px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text title=”Working With The Lunar Energies”]
Setting your intentions on the new moon.
The new Moon each month marks a time of new beginnings and realisations. It’s like a birth after a time of gestation or being ‘in the womb’. Here, the light begins to return and we can see new beginnings and possibilities. A new Moon means that the Sun and the Moon are both together – bringing a synergy of their energies together. The new Moon is a perfect time to set your intentions for the future. This period is wonderful for planting seeds of whatever kind.
What do you want to manifest in your future? Whether you write it down, sing about it or just hold the thought forms in your mind, doing this at the new Moon can realise some fabulous results around the things that you want to draw into your life.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row column_padding=”5″ parallax=”content-moving” full_width=”stretch_row” css=”.vc_custom_1484031667129{padding-top: 60px !important;padding-right: 40px !important;padding-bottom: 40px !important;padding-left: 40px !important;background-color: #f7f7f7 !important;}”][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Astrology Forecasts and Readings” font_container=”tag:h3|text_align:center|color:%23404040″ use_theme_fonts=”yes” css=”.vc_custom_1485655134848{padding-bottom: 10px !important;}”][vc_column_text align=”center” css=”.vc_custom_1434539588856{margin-bottom: 0px !important;}”]

A FLAG IS SEEN TURNING INTO AN EAGLE – the following is from my book The Sabian Oracle: 360 Degrees Of Wisdom – this Symbol can be about patriotism, having ideals and beliefs that deserve to be ‘saluted’, respected and given power, all the way to issues to do with rampant nationalism and fascism.
Commentary: A ‘Flag Turning Into an Eagle’ represents nationalistic ideals and values being taken to their highest level. The ‘Flag’ and the ‘Eagle’ are both symbolic representations of these strong ideals. The ‘Flag’ is a pictorial representation of a nation or a country’s spirit, and the ‘Eagle’ is the physical manifestation of that spirit. As ‘the Flag’ turns into ‘the Eagle’, the feeling of spirit is transformed into a physical expression of that ideal; they are made physical and become more realistic.
Oracle: This Symbol reflects the need or desire for our inner thoughts to become manifest into daily life practice. Your core beliefs can be seen as your ‘Flag’ and your announcements of and allegiance to them is like the ‘Eagle’. You may find that you are being asked to no longer just project an image, but to own your own true power. In more dramatic situations, one may feel like they have been reborn, or suddenly become more motivated or inspired to carry through actions that they have previously only thought about. However, not everybody will agree with or believe in the ideals behind one’s actions and words. Someone may be “blowing their horn” about issues that others might not want to salute. Be aware that although you may have experienced a personal transformation, not everyone will be keen to hear about it in great detail. Others may be thrilled at your successes and want to hear all about them. On the other hand, you may be doing a lot more talking than action, but that will most likely change soon. Be sure to retain your modesty and gauge others’ reactions accordingly. With a positive focus you can watch your ideas take flight.
Keywords: Turning away from having to prove oneself. Rising above the commonplace. Ascension. Rebirth. Homespun truth. Ideals that uplift and free. Shouting joy from the treetops. Boosts in self-esteem. Strength. Transformation. Plans taking shape. Power and might. Conveying images of strength and fidelity. Declaring visions and dreams. Totems. Strong displays of independence and freedom. Announcements. High flight.
The Caution: Forcefully displaying private beliefs. Swallowing advertising or propaganda. Believing the party line. Blowing your own horn. Bragging. Sudden mood swings. Arrogance. Throwing one’s weight around. Threatening others with loud displays of might. Bullying. Talking over the top of others. Not listening because of righteousness. Fascism. Dictatorial governments.
Moon symbolizes: Emotions, moods, mother, family, clan, domestic issues, relationship to home and country. Feelings, sentiments, nourishment, emotional nurturing, monkey chatter mind, lunar and menstrual cycles, clarity of emotions or lunacy. Female energy – yours and others.
Mercury is on Capricorn 16
SCHOOL GROUNDS FILLED WITH BOYS AND GIRLS IN GYMNASIUM SUITS – this degree has been very strongly emphasised lately, both by Mercury going retrograde on it, and, by Pluto spending months on it over the last year or so. This can show people in the streets, the women marching, the need to gather strength in order to better participate in society. It can also show such issues as ‘Hitler’s Youth’… people rallying for an ideal that they may not really understand. Th ‘gymnasium suits’ may be uniforms, those ‘suits’ that they put on in order to join some rally or some cause.
This degree shows being vibrant and alive and in the physical body with enthusiasm and excitement about life and the future. The “Gymnasium Suits” shows the need to get active and to stay active, to have time in your life to drop into the physical body and enjoy it. If you’ve been neglecting your physical well-being, it is good to reestablish that affinity with your vitality. Spontaneous enthusiasm and the joy of being ‘alive’ can regenerate and revive and bring about carefree contact with like minded people. The trick is to bring some form of physical discipline into your life while enjoying it and not feeling forced to do what you don’t want to do.
Keywords: Developing muscular coordination. Sexual energy, attraction or satisfaction. Playing, marching, competition, rivalry. Singing songs of unity. New anthems for the young. The search for identity. Being able to accomplish things on the physical level. Physical fitness. Uniforms and uniformity. Gymnasiums. Exercise equipment. Conscription. Being one of many. Learning how to get along with the opposite sex. Bodybuilding. Level playing fields.
The Caution: Showing off. Relationships based on physical or sexual attraction. Feeling only one of the many. Being forced to do things. Rote performances. People that disdain the intellectual.
Mercury symbolizes: Mind, thought, communication, memory, expression, intelligence. News, exchanges, chatting, conversations, short journeys, connections with others, telephones, emails, siblings, neighbors, the reasoning mind. Day-to-day activities. Cars, keys, small animals.
Venus is on Pisces 25
THE PURGING OF THE PRIESTHOOD – as I mentioned above, this was the degree of Mars at the inauguration of Donald Trump. This is a powerful degree, and, it’s one where we are asked to make sure that ‘power’ is not abused. Certainly, those who do abuse power, who go outside of the bounds of ethics or decency or acceptability are likely to be thrown out, rejected, or, taken out of positions of power (or need to be).
This shows seeing through those who hold important positions yet abuse trust or those who make great claims but don’t live up to them. At this time, you’re likely to find yourself leaving others behind, kicking them out, or experiencing falls from grace. Periodically, there is a need to examine moral and spiritual sincerity. It is easy to allow those who don’t really belong to stay because of familiarity or habit. We can lose sight of the ideal through our rationalizing intellect, ego and emotive passion. There is a need to cleanse and purify your life, leading to better spiritual values. What side of the “Purging” are you on? Are you the one with the ‘right motives’? Who’s in charge?
Keywords: Revealing the truth of people for who and what they truly are. Cutting people off. Throwing out things that don’t measure up. Forced retirement and redundancies. Payouts at the end of employment. Dismissals. Opting out for moral reasons. Being fired. Holes left where someone took up a lot of space.
The Caution: Battles over spiritual direction. Abusing authority. Whistle blowing. Damning others. Deceiving, lying or misleading. Corruption and scandals. Burning books.
Venus symbolizes: Relatedness, cooperation, what attracts you. The experience of sweetness, beauty or delight. Social interactions, love, friends, how you reach out to people. Feminine persona, relationship with mother and females. Money, possessions, sense of values.
Mars is on Pisces 30
A MAJESTIC ROCK FORMATION RESEMBLING A FACE IS IDEALIZED BY A BOY WHO TAKES IT AS HIS IDEAL OF GREATNESS, AND AS HE GROWS UP, BEGINS TO LOOK LIKE IT – finding the ideal in ourselves or others, or not?
This shows being able to envision or decide what you want to be and as you grow and develop, becoming that vision. The “Boy” lived in childhood under a hill figure of a president and when he grew up he became a president himself. You may find that you are growing into the image that you have imagined and it gives you a sense of pride – assuming you have chosen a positive image. What or who do you “Idealize”? What is it that you’d like to become? What image would you like to project? Meditating on a goal or the projection of an ideal can lead to actuality. Just be clear about what you really desire in the situation – you just might get it.
Keywords: Concrete manifestation of one’s ideals. Enduring truths. Culmination of efforts. Projections of ideal images. Wanting to be “big” and successful. Tutankhamen’s mask. Wanting a sense of immortality. Defining one’s fate through conscious manifestation. Morphing reality to suit an objective. Ambition. The ability to see life in inanimate objects.
The Caution: Not being at all clear about who one is or can be. Becoming a screen for the projection of others ideals. Falling short of the mark. Shooting too far and achieving nothing.
Mars symbolizes: Drive, determination or agenda, how you get to your goals. How you express and handle anger, ambition, assertion of self and ability to step forward. The male principle, sexuality, the ability to step up to the plate when one needs to. Fight or flight.
Jupiter is on Libra 24
A THIRD WING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF A BUTTERFLY – this Symbol can be a beautiful one, that is unless we get swamped with being too ‘one-sided’, or, find ourselves flapping around and getting nowhere. Finding a calm center can be an interesting challenge…
This Symbol can show imbalances of many kinds; physical, mental, spiritual or emotional. Understanding and accepting fragility and differences in our self and others can give greater empathy for those who have difficulty operating efficiently in the world. When the transformation into full potential occurs, it is wonderful, however, you may feel that you are unnaturally developed or somehow lopsided in the emotive, intuitive realms. Instinct may swamp logic or logic may take from instinct or intuition. Physically, one side of your body could work more efficiently or smoothly than the other. It helps to try to regain balance and equilibrium – try finding that still space in the middle.
Keywords: Creative overbalance. Bodily impairments and handicaps. Being light, flippant and fluttering from thing to thing. Over-sensitivities. Oddities. Beautiful imperfections. Idiot savants. Imbalances. One side of the body being more perfect than the other. Wings, arms, legs, feet.
The Caution: Unrealistic reliance on being different. Obsession with strange things. Flapping around and not getting anywhere. Restlessness, nervousness. Lopsidedness.
Jupiter symbolizes: The big picture, expansion, exploration, aspirations, religious and philosophical ideals, issues to do with traveling, foreign lands, people and traditions, culture, education, generosity, luck, abundance, support, optimism. Insight through knowledge and wisdom.
Saturn is on Sagittarius 25
A CHUBBY LITTLE RICH BOY RIDES UPON A HOBBYHORSE – this can be a wonderful degree, but, sometimes we may find ourselves wasting time and opportunities while we are focusing on those things that get us nowhere, that lead us to unfulfilled expectations, especially with Saturn here. Although, Saturn can bring us rewards from having trained or practiced at something – not giving up when it looks like one is getting nowhere can bring breakthroughs and true progress at a later date.
This Symbol shows someone who has everything in life playing and enjoying doing whatever they want in a safe and comfortable atmosphere – the ‘Boy’ does something he feels like doing, something easy and natural. He plays and may not be thinking too much about what’s going on in the real world as he is shielded from the more harmful elements of society because he is ‘Rich’. You may feel that you are doing what is necessary, but this is more like a training situation and will lead to greater ability in the future, although you should watch out for the propensity to be ‘flogging a dead horse’. Practice and play, but one day you’re going to have to prove yourself in a more rigorous, demanding situation. Protected practice. Imaginative play. Going on and on about something. Hobbies. Playtime. Toys being provided. Exercise. Boys and their toys. Unrestrained passions.
Keywords: Hobbies and their pleasures. Unrestrained, imaginative play that can lead to truly wonderful creations, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Protected practice. Having to have one’s sexual needs fulfilled before one loses energy. Exercise, doing something because one can. Constantly going off on distracting schemes. Boys and their toys. Unrestrained passion.
The Caution: Spoilt and shallow. Only doing what one wants without considering the consequences for others. Constantly going on and on and on about something. Tantrums.
Saturn symbolizes: Authority, rules, discipline and obligation The heavy stuff. What we fear, loss, karma, aging, the establishment, orthodoxy, tradition, status, the concept of time, walls, boundaries, limits, older people, restrictions, patience, conquering difficulties.
Uranus is on Aries 21
A BOXER IS ENTERING THE RING – this is such an interesting Symbol to have Uranus on at these times. We may feel that we, or others, are punch-drunk, losing the plot, not fit enough to take on the role or job that they have signed up for. It can also show how we may need to not engage in a fight, or, to not back down when the odds are against us. How this may be effecting each individual will, of course, vary. Some may feel that the fight is not worth the effort, the bruises or the put-downs. Others may continually rouse themselves, not backing down from opposition.
This Symbol shows that there may be a temptation to take on issues, even to fight, but it needs to be with dignity and regulation. You may feel a need, or the urge, to step up to the plate and take something or someone on. There are rules to follow and often others will be end up being the judge of the final outcome. Make sure you possess the skills and training to defend what you believe. Remember that sometimes you need to back off if you’re not winning a contest. Question: is someone on the attack or the defense?
Keywords: Physical or psychological self – assertion and determination. Attack or defense? Fighting for emotional, psychological or physical space. Being seen as a person of strength. Throwing punches. Fighting on any level. Being prepared to take a swing at someone or something. Stepping up to the plate. Throwing down the gauntlet. Going after the title. Big vs. small egos.
The Caution: Using power to dominate people or those who challenge you. Wanting to knock people out. Storming in and taking over. Looking for combat. Being combative.
Uranus symbolizes: The unexpected, things that are individual or ‘different’. Charged, energetic dynamics, electricity, light, lightning bolts, sudden changes, those who live on the fringe of society. Sudden turns and twists of fate. Rebellion, surprises, liberation, freedom.
Neptune is on Pisces 11
PEOPLE TRAVELING A NARROW PATH, SEEKING ILLUMINATION – Neptune here is asking us to stay on our own path, to keep going towards that ‘light’, that ‘illumination’.
This shows having a quest, “Seeking Illumination”, having a “Path” and staying on it regardless of what life throws at you. Sometimes the search for high ideals and understanding places us at odds with the more conservative social expectations of others. It is the ability to persevere with the search, regardless of the cost, that marks the sincerity of any path or journey. You may, at times, have to go without some comforts or stick to a rigorous agenda. Most times this quest is very illuminating, sometimes it’s confusing. You will need to reject that which is unworthy, while staying true to your objectives in order to stay focused on the goal.
Keywords: People “on the Path”. Sticking to one mindset, diet, regimen or habit. Having a cause to follow. Not looking sideways. Awakening one’s base senses in order to progress. Physical ecstasy. Being in the now. Going towards the light. Staying true to self. The promise of light at the end of the journey.
The Caution: Being blinded by the light. Not knowing where you’re going. Denial of physical pleasure. Puritanical and one-eyed. Distractions. Narrow minded. Disillusionment.
Neptune symbolizes: Mystical, “out there,” spirituality and con artists. Dreams, mysteries, mystics and religious issues. Intuition, clairvoyance, seeing into the invisible. Addictive, chaotic, charming, deceptive, illusory, co dependent, sensory awareness.
Pluto is on Capricorn 18
THE UNION JACK FLIES FROM A NEW BRITISH WARSHIP – this degree can be very powerful, and, it can be very worrying, especially with Mercury about to conjunct Pluto on this degree. Used wisely, it can speak of having good boundaries, being in control of sometimes uncontrollable situations, drawing lines around what you will and will not accept into your life. On the other hand, it can show the military industrial complex, war, and divisions between people. It can also show the idea of ‘my flag, ship, gun, countries, ideals, etc, are bigger than yours’.
This Symbol talks about supervision, border protection and control. There can be a feeling of having to oversee a large ‘empire’ where reliability and leadership are vital. This can be a tiring responsibility, but there can be an awareness of the protection of ‘all who went before’. However, political and social restraints from the past could be causing you to feel that you’ve somehow got to ‘wage war’. Issues to do with the government can come up, whether you agree with what they do or not. You may be confronted with having to make your presence felt and guard your territory. Effective supervision will help you to relax.
Keywords: Colonialism. Protectionism. The government, big business and the media. Class-consciousness. Power and political displays. Displays of “law and order”. Border patrols and protection. Strength and might. Nationalism. Royalty. The ruling elite. Supervision. The armed forces. Patrols. Pitting people against each other. Empires. Victory bringing riches. The mother country. The struggle against decline. Flags. Imperialism. The Commonwealth. The rule of law.
The Caution: Artificial shows of strength. Being armed. Strong-arm tactics. Flags. Republics. Issues of statehood. Getting out the big guns. Rebellion. Social disintegration.
Pluto symbolizes: Unconscious motivations, depth psychology, history. Sex, procreation at a deep level, intensity, profound emotions, taking hold of one’s power. Being king or queen of one’s underworld. Strength, survival mode instincts. Big money. Big power. The Plutocracy. Power vs power struggles.
Chiron is on Pisces 23
A ‘MATERIALIZING MEDIUM’ GIVING A SÉANCE – Chiron has been on this degree for months and months over the course of the last year or so. What ‘stories’ need reassessment? What stories are useful in your life? What impressions are you receiving? Are you being a good antenna, or, are you being manipulated by outside forces (or voices)? This can be about brilliant insight all the way to terrible delusions. Certainly, we are likely to see some ‘truths’ emerging, especially out of the ‘fog’ of the past.
This shows the ability, or the need, to pick up subtle energies and psychic clues in the environment. The “Materializing Medium” can receive radiations, frequencies or vibrations that cannot easily be sensed by most people. You may be experiencing a surprising sensitivity and awareness to spiritual forces and energies. This can cause confusion, other times enlightenment. Sit with any new impressions until you understand their authenticity or depth. Sometimes there is a need to free ‘stuck’ or earthbound entities. This can show someone who can “Materialize” things; make things happen just by thinking about or concentrating on them.
Keywords: Spiritual channeling. A need to free up “stuck” or earthbound entities. Efforts to materialize things. Coming straight out with things. Giving voice to spirit. Tarot readings, clairvoyance and clairsentience. Things seen ahead of their time. Bringing messages from the other side. Contacting the dead.
The Caution: False fronts or performances. Making things up. Using mind control to get a desired outcome. Weird energies or people. Quacks. Imposters. Fakes. Delusional.
Chiron symbolizes: Our wounds, Chiron is known as The Wounded Healer. The wounds are The Stories That We Tell Ourselves, it is where we have to focus on healing, it can show things that are out of shape or misplaced or in need of repair.
The Moon’s North Node is on Virgo 4
BLACK AND WHITE CHILDREN PLAYING HAPPILY TOGETHER – the degree shows the need, the possibility, or the challenge, of taking people at ‘face value’…. people are who they are, and, this Symbol shows the need to accept others, whether they’re from different races, nationalities, belief systems, whatever. Building ‘walls’ between us and others can lead to alienation, or, not finding the beauty in others who may not be on the same side of the equation as you.
This Symbol shows the integration of people of different races, religions, economic status or places. You may find people from different or seemingly disparate or separate areas coming into your life, making it richer, more rewarding and interesting. Prejudice of any kind, whether religious or race based, economic or class systems, is an illusion based on social perception and excludes people that could add to our lives. Social perceptions can color how we see others and these need to be put aside. Rather, it’s about embracing brotherhood and caring. The integration, acceptance and enjoyment of all people brings depth and meaning to life.
Keywords: Universal brotherhood. Overcoming prejudices and boundaries that separate people. Knocking down social barriers to relate freely. Being able to let go, relax and have fun with people from anywhere. Adopted siblings. Foster homes. Affirmative action. Trust and joy. Play that unites people.
The Caution: Acting with morality that is swayed by public opinion. Not being able to adjust psychologically to situations that require creative responses. Racial prejudice.
The Moon’s North Node symbolizes: This is known as quite a ‘karmic point’ (although all planets and points in a chart can be’karmic’). One’s destiny in this life. The things you are meant to integrate, move towards, become. Destined relationships and relationship issues can show up here.
The Moon’s South Node is on Pisces 4
HEAVY CAR TRAFFIC LINKING TWO SEASIDE RESORTS – this degree can show heavy traffic, congestion, not being able to move efficiently, etc, all the way up to nervousness, frustration and too much thinking. We may be ‘stuck in traffic’ when we may prefer to be ‘at the beach’ – doing those things that bring us fun and relaxation. Sometimes we have to pull over, park and let the traffic thin out… literally or metaphorically.
This shows moving about, getting from destination to destination in a free flowing manner. Driving or flying or in a bus; there’s lots of activity going on. There’s also a need for space sharing, patience and give-and-take as people have their own needs. This can show communications and linkages between separate worlds leading to increased pleasure, OR, frustration, confusion or psychic indigestion and the need for a holiday. There’s a lot going on and confusion can set in if one doesn’t follow the rules to ensure a smooth flow of operations. Being ‘squeezed-in’ can bring a sense of panic but it can also bring pleasurable interchange between people and a chance to tune out.
Keywords: Going with the flow. Running back and forth. Having to move continually. Pollution and car exhaust. Rush hour and road-rage. Plans for arrivals and departures. Public holidays. Traffic jams. Traffic banking up. Having trouble making left hand turns. Detours. Packing and unpacking. Luggage. Travel itineraries. Impasses. Nervous systems. Urine therapy. Constant phone calls. Switchboard jams. Heat and smog.
